Today we're introducing a very promising project called Forlorn, which is being developed by "Started Team". Set in the recent future, there's been a terrible incident which has brought the world to ruin, killing off much of the sentient life on Earth. The player takes the role of a young man suffering from amnesia who wakes in the ruins of a Metro station in Bangkok, Thailand, and who must work out how to survive and find out who he is. The game is intended to feature an open world system, with the player's combat being focused on close combat, with ranged weapons being hard to come by, and with several different types of enemies for the player to face off against to fit in with the survival horror themes of the game. Forlorn will feature both single and multiplayer modes for the player to survive through. As you can see from the images spaced throughout this article (More of which you'll find in future articles), the project is moving along quickly, and pushes the dark and brooding atmosphere which fits nicely within the genre they're targeting - this is further illustrated by the video below. The team are currently looking for staff to join their project, as they are aiming to develop a demo to show off to the public.
If you are interested in taking part, contact the team leader, CryDead, either on Crydev, or email jub3008@hotmail.com. That's all for this article folks - be sure to check back on CryDev regularly for more updates about Forlorn: Links:
