Crytek is seeking a Community Manager to head up our CryENGINE 3 and development community, in addition to working on other Crytek IP’s. The individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining community sites, they will also be responsible for the development and growth of social networking pages/communities. This individual will be the point of contact for the community, and work closely with a mixture of internal teams to create and maintain a thriving community. This position is based in the Crytek head office in Frankfurt, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Manage communities around Crytek development tools and CryENGINE 3
• Work closely with the CryENGINE and SDK teams
• Facilitate community software feedback to support key objectives such as Beta Tests, troubleshooting, and ongoing reaction to supplemental content releases
• Maintain a vibrant post-ship community featuring contests and activities, community-generated content, forum discussions, downloads, and other interactions
• Administration of all Game Related Websites
• Perform any other duties as assigned by manager with accountability and responsibility defined prior to the commencement of these duties
• Investigating open topics with other teams at Crytek
• Developing community-related policies for franchise game forums
• Providing regular reports
• Reports to Lead Community Manager
• Be an expert in relevant gaming and development categories. Provide competitive analysis from community perspective

Requirements:

• Fluent English written and spoken communication skills essential
• Experience creating and developing social network communities/pages
• 2-4 years experience in online marketing, community management, or equivalent
• Experience with development/modding communities
• Experience with CryENGINE 3 a plus
• Experience creating/developing a mod or game a plus
  
• Capable of meeting deadlines
• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills needed
• Works well under pressure
• Professional attitude and ability to work as part of a team
• Willing to relocate to Frankfurt am Main/Germany
• Online community expertise from a user standpoint. Online gameplay experience a plus
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good understanding of broader entertainment industry: games, music, and movies, etc
• Ability to think strategically and effectively present new ideas
