Project Inertia comes to you from the minds of Ty Sharpe and Kieran Dubery - a professional development exercise to showcase how high end audio development adds to the immersion of modern video games. ![]() Quote: Project inertia was instigated as a development exercise in order to discover how audio can contribute to the atmosphere and immersion of a video game. The primary objective of the project is to create a short video game which showcases a high standard of environmental and sound design. The project has a distinct academic feel in its approach to development which is refreshing to see in the mod community. The team has set themselves a completion target of April 2013. The entire process will be documented on their blog. Audioless Teaser (Sound Design To Be Completed) Below are some screenshots from the early development of the game where Kieran has done a fantastic job of manipulating the assets and lighting to generate an eerie immersion without the aid of sound, it should act as an excellent control experiment to compare and contrast to the finished product complete with sound design by Ty Sharpe.
