In today's news post, we will be featuring a new update from the multiplayer mod for Crysis Wars titled: Casus Belli, which is being developed by French Touch Studio, CryDev users: Fabiolo, FTS|Supernovae and soul1mano.

Casus Belli is a multiplayer modification for Crysis Wars that is inspired by the Battlefield franchise. It is set in a 'fictional' third world war setting. Locations vary from Afghan deserts to Ukrainian cities.
Although Casus Belli is a First Person Shooter, it also includes some RPG elements. The developers state that the mod features more than 250 new assets (buildings, vehicles, objects, etc.), new maps, new weapons, new vehicles, new game modes, original music and more.

Casus Belli was featured on CryDev back in November 2011 here.

In today's news post, we will be featuring a gameplay video and details regarding the beta test.

Linked below is a 5-minute gameplay video from Casus Belli featuring the Advance And Secure game mode on the Island map.

This gameplay video features the medic class, the purchase menu as well as new weapons and items. Also featured in this video is the gas grenade and the gas mask.

You will also see that players can now react by falling on the ground whenever explosions occur close to them. They might also drop their weapon under certain circumstances.

Another thing to note is that the team has worked on the weapon sounds and also tweaked the weapons' recoil and spread values to make them harder to use.
