In today's news post, we will be featuring an update from the Sci-Fi Modification titled: STARCRY, which is being designed by Crydev users: DarK_Wolf and MMX. Starcry was also featured on CryDev in September '11. ![]() Media The Starcry team would like to update everyone with the progress of the mod since the beta phase that began earlier this year. All the bugs reported during the beta test have been eliminated and they only have a few adjustments to make to certain parts of the story. Problems with the CryEngine itself have been bypassed and the gameplay was enhanced with better management and placement of the AI. New items and props were added to the maps and the balance of food and healing items was improved. One of the last levels was extended and they believe that a first playthrough of the adventure will now take at least 4 hours to complete for an average gamer, maybe 6 hours for someone who is not familiar with First-Person Shooters. The project is made to be played several times as you keep the experience points you've earned, which are then used to unlock new items and weapons. The Starcry Team's next step is a final private beta test in August to make sure there are no major bugs that can prevent the player's progression when playing the game. The team would then be able to set a date for the release of the final version. They are also preparing a trailer for the final game. That's all for today's news post, make sure to follow the Starcry project on CryDev's Projects database here!
