I still haven't gotten an answer from anyone if I would have to have the go ahead from crytek first and @liam could this be published in the news if i get a answer on the crytek thing? If it was in the news I bet more people would vote on if they want it or not.

We at least need a mobile themed site in the future.

Without custom code on our side you'll, as far as I'm aware, still be downloading exactly the same amount of data and then doing some crazy processing on it (therefore negating half the point of a mobile app).

That then becomes a security concern so this'll have to be considered carefully.

Basicly what I'd try to do is refresh the data from the website but run a custom request just asking fro.data, no graphics. Then I'd make my own graphics to display inside the app. This would also cut down on the data usage for people using the app as the graphics in the app wouldn't have to refresh every time. They'd be installed on the phone. Only required to be pulled up. But there are some graphics you'd have to load. Avatars, attachments, ect... As far as I know that would require no work on cryteks end but minimal if any.

As a truck owner, I frequent f150forum. Recently, they released a (free) app that interfaces with their site. All the data requested is sent to the phone and simply converted to fit the mobile forum template (very fast). All we really need is forum support. Things like the downloads section aren't necessary as we obviously aren't going to be downloading the new SDK update onto our phones, so couldn't we just find a way to view the forums in mobile theme?
Seems like all you have to do is write a simple app that compresses the forums down to a mobile size. An adds easy to use buttons for navigating.

Yea for android and windows phone !!

Didn't think about windows phone... Not a bad idea... I'm going to be really out of my element though as I've never made an app for the windows mobile OS... Or apple OS for that matter... I'll have to look into it once I get a go/no go from crytek... In the next few days ill be posting some graphic design ideas for the app, very basic. I'll load them into the original post.
