That's a reasonable price? That sounds like enough to buy a scary powerful computer.

You forgot the most important thing when choosing a Laptop.. the size of the screen. Also, best laptops are Dell (Alienware), Sony (Vaio) and Asus.. also Apple (Macbooks) are great too. All of them offer lot of models and free-customizable laptops.. just choose the one you like the most at the best price. PS: don't forget to check reviews about how do games and CryEngine work on them, most notebook graphics cards are not made for gaming.

Here you are: System Requirements [Developer] • Operating System: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7 • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better (a multi-core processor is strongly recommended) • Memory: 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended) • Video Card: nVidia 8800GT 512MB RAM, ATI 3850HD 512MB RAM or better (SM 3.0 minimum) System Requirements [End User] End Users who only use the game launcher without Sandbox have lower system requirements. • Operating System: Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7 • CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo 2GHz, AMD Athlon 64 X2 2GHz or better (a multi-core processor is strongly recommended) • Memory: 1 GB RAM (2 GB recommended) • Video Card: nVidia 8800GT 512MB RAM, ATI 3850HD 512MB RAM or better (SM 3.0 minimum) I'd say a Quad Core, 8Gb Ram and an Nvidia GTX 2/4/5XX or an ATI 5/6/7XXX are best for CryEngine, so raise a bit the specifications if you want maximum quality.

Check out Sager. They make insanely high-powered laptops that arent overpriced. I've had my Sager for about a year and a half, and its awesome.

Uhm, Alienware cost less actually.. I wouldn't really aim for Sager, their products are not even comparable to the Alienware M18X..

Eheh, that's true, Alienware design is very weird.. you either like it or not. Well, go with Asus then.. Design and quality surely comes first in Asus and the G74 SX is their best model as i recall, and yeah, it looks pretty good though it only has a GTX560 (instead of a GTX580/Dual GTX580).

Quote by DevilDante: Uhm, Alienware cost less actually.. I wouldn't really aim for Sager, their products are not even comparable to the Alienware M18X.. False. Sager's NP8180 (18.4") starts at $1799 vs. the M18X's $1999, offers the same CPU, SLI GPUs (two 560Ms vs. one) and double the RAM . The m18X's only advantage is a 750gb HDD vs a 500gb HDD, and that can be fixed by adding $50. Alienware = terrible, overpriced and ugly. @ OP Look around, there might be a re-seller somewhere near you. Sager's laptops are really just Clevo laptops (Clevo doesnt sell direct), and they've got a bunch of resellers. There's probably at least one in the UK.

Uhm, you're right.. the prices I considered were € and $, the change is about 1500€ vs 2200€ .. woa, that's so much money difference. Then i think Saber might be a good choice.. But i personally love Alienware notebooks.. they're not terrible, they're great, and their design is wonderful imho.. that's just personal opinions.
