You know it's probably the same engine right? Developing two engines for games that are very similar in both gameplay and setting would be an incredible waste of Ubisoft's money.

The guy who presented it said PS4 and Xbox One. No mention of any other platforms at all.

Here is what someone said on another site:
Quote:
E3 isn't for pc games, its for nintendo, sony and microsoft and their systems.

PAX is more for pc.

Quote:
MGSV is most likely coming to PC

The Division is coming to PC because Ubisoft

Mirror's Edge 2 is confirmed for PC

Battlefront 3 will be PS4/XB1/PC because DICE/EA

Dragon Age 3 will be PS4/XB1/PC because Bioware/EA

And those were the major third party titles revealed thus far that are worth mentioning, besides the ones you named in the OP

Titan Fall, Witcher 3, and I think all EA games are confirmed pc.

Keep in mind that The Division is a "online RPG/ MMO", so it is quite likely that it uses another engine than Watch_Dogs. It is also from Massive, and not Ubi Montreal.

Yeah it looks fantastic and it indeed uses another engine named "Snowdrop" whereas Watch Dogs uses the "Disrupt" engine.

Massive is a cool team, I enjoyed both Ground Control and World in Conflict a lot. Let's hope this game turns out as good as the first demo looked :)

These days engines are modular. It's not inconceivable that the graphics engine was implanted into a different game engine, it just seems stupid for Ubisoft to invest in two graphics engines that do the same thing. Besides none of the games we saw today that had a "persistent open world online" were MMO in the traditional sense, they were limited in the number of players in the action.

The Crew only shows the 8 nearest to you and The Division seemed similarly limited. Judging by the map it's not big enough to be a traditional MMO with everyone on the server visible in the same world space, so I think it's wise not to think of these games in the old MMO framework. It's more like Multiple-Player Unified Online RPG. Not as catchy but I think more correct.

Indeed, it looks incredible! :) It might be an MMO in a similar sense as DayZ is; every server has its own game world. Gameplay looks very interesting even though I don't usually play multiplayer; team-based coop is another story... ;)
