Hello, everyone!

Following up on the recent challenge on the site, we here on CryDev would like to continue the fun with another one, this one aiming towards all those creative Photoshoppers around here!

The Goal
During the last few weeks we’ve been in the process of setting up a new YouTube Channel, specifically designed for the CryDev community. My name is Gustav, aka The Vulture, and I’ve recently joined the CryDev Staff Team to help manage the channel. Our goal with the channel is to integrate it better with CryDev and by doing so, enhancing the CryDev experience for everyone. We'll be hosting content such as CryDev related news, tutorials, community project trailers and much more! It’s all about sharing knowledge and cool stuff with the community! I'm really looking forward to the task ahead and I hope you will enjoy the content being featured there!

However, we need your help to design a background for it! All you’re required to do is create a good looking background that fits the style of CryDev and there may even be some prizes up for grabs if your entry is super awesome!



Your Submission
There are some simple guidelines for your submissions. These are:

» File size should not be larger than 256KB, in accordance with Youtube's file size limit.
» Your design should suit CryDev/CryENGINE to help promote the site.
» The design should be repeatable or the edges should work with a single background colour for large resolution screens.

That about covers it! In return of an awesome background, we will credit you on the channel for everyone to see who made the background! Submit your entries in the comments section below. Good luck and may the best Photoshopper win!

Really cool! Hope we get in some nice contributions on this and make that Youtube channel a great place to view tutorials.

Two versions, tried to stay with the Corporate Identity of the site, not making it too noisy. The first uses artwork from Crysis 2 which probably makes the channel page more "catchy", but at the same time distracts from the content. Thus, another version with a more subtle background.

Both are previews of course to showcase how the background looks on the actual site. The actual background image would have a fully black center to reduce filesize and thus, allows for a less compressed image.

My contribution so far. Made two versions, needs a bit more work on cleaning up
the backgrounds and it should be done.

Euuh, i have much knowledge about making YT bg's, would you guys change some colour and transparent codes in the YT layout if i made my entry for that? like a fyll see trough background, so the background image is fully shown?

Here is my FULL wallpaper, free to use for Crytek ONLY, 251,6kb guys, so you can upload it just fine I made it to blend in with the background, as you see below so you wont have a sudden bg colour change C:

Click on the try button to switch to the new layout. I've made a screenshot of Crydev channel with the new layout, although I don't know when they're gonna switch over generally.
