NOOOO! Those chairs and boxes had such a life ahead of them, so many butts to support for people's comfort. Awesome particles, I'd be glad to test them and maybe add a few things.

if you do make smoke build up in buildings then you should make smoke do a slight amount of damage to. if the smoke was thick enough it could kill you farely fast.

Another Note: :D lol maybe if you could make it to were if u get in a close fight and u shoot them blood will get on your gun lol....just thought i throw that out there lol :D

This is the mod I was waiting for, Crysis has the best particles I have seen so far but they can still be improved, since the release I get more and more used to them and I lost that ''oh ha!'' factor. So yep I was really desiring for a kind modder to make that mod.

I am really glad you did it HavokSage, best of luck! :]

Questions :

1- Is it going to be a mod launched from the mods directory?
2- In the editor the trees make wood splinters when they break apart but they don't do it in-game, will you work on that? *Don't add only more dust, that would be regretful for a mod that aims to improve the particles.
3- Are the gunshot smokes redone too? The water splashes? The car explosions?

Well I may sound a little too curious but trust me that's the mod I wanted to do but simply hadn't the patience for...

HavokSage, see my thread about that tree-breaking problem. Trees breaking is better in the editor

My answers:

1. Yes.

2. I was aware of this problem, and am having problems with the wood effects overall. I am searching for a fix for this. *In-depth info on this problem.

3. I am testing the main effects in the game at the moment (the most common), but will get round to improving more effects with time, and later versions.

Thanks for being curious.

*A few of my testers have reported problems that I can confirm with the wood effects overall. In the editor 3d Wood chipping will spawn when trees or boxes are shot. But in-game, the 3d effects are non existent. This problem is now top priority. All other effects (including the rock ones, which also spawn 3d models) are reported to be working correctly. This is the woods way of getting back at me for shooting so many trees, and boxes... ;)

This problem has been reported with some people using custom configs. Try setting your settings to a default, e.g. Low, Medium or High. I will isolate the config command with time, to discover a fix. My bet is that configs are skimping on the particles count to increase FPS...
