He's not meant to be invisible.... just dynamically camoflauged. It's more effective in the forest, or with other stuff around to clutter up the view.

I think the pictures quality is fine

Thermal / Heat Vision Mod

I can't start any real work on that though as there's some Waking Hour stuff I'm doing, and also not before I've got Chameleon out the door. But this IS going to get done so let's talk about it there and see if we can work out exactly how.

Any updates? :) Sorry for the bump.

Actually, it's pretty close to being out the door. There's a few things with it that I need to work out though.

One of which is the the damned NK suit won't cloak the helmet. There's a few others, like whenever I look at the chameleon effect through the rifle scopes, they turn almost completely transparent. (side effect of having to use the 'Refractive' keyword as a workaround for some damned backbuffer bug)

If you want, I could make more pink furry Nomads to tide you over while you wait?

Great news :xmas:

Looks good so far...
I tried out your toon shader and it really does very nice work. I am thinking about making a mini-mod with it, it is sooo cute.... (except for big even surfaces, but I guess you know what I am talking about...)

Working on it right now.

Still got those two bugs. (NK troopers don't get their helmets camoed and you can't look through scopes at them)

Yes , the chamelion cloak is very good. But I think that texture must be apply better to the helmet and if it possible to the weapon.

Anyway it will be very nice mod and I want to use it in my "Boiling Point"

The material is not being changed on the helmet for the North Korean nanotroopers. There's code there to do it but even though it executes, the helmet material doesn't change.

@Thomy: yes, you can use any toon shader code that I've posted.

It looks to me like the asian nanosuit is not changing the helmet material at all for ANY mode, not even for strength or speed mode. Not even using stock Crysis.

Has anyone ever noticed anything like that? Could this really be a bug that we never noticed before because we don't look at the helmet closely when we're killing these guys?

Someone please test this and either confirm for me that it's not just me, or.... that it is just me. Maybe I screwed something up somewhere...

(here's a simple FG to test with)

Sure, I'll test that for you. It might take a little while though, as my computers a bit slow today.
