Post Topic: Forest Life (A.k.a NEW Realistic Forest) Posted 16.01.2009, 06:57 |
June 28, 2009: Changed the title. Haven't updated the screenshots on this first post, so you'll have to browse through the thread to find them. Plan is to restart the assets using everything I've learned, which should result in a much higher quality forest. Haven't started yet, but I promise that I will. February 19, 2009: Older Progress: http://crymod.com/thread.php?postid=445777#post445777---------------------------------------------- Well, I decided to give it a shot. It may not be as good as tests, but hopefully you guys still like it Note on the trees, that they are still being worked on. And yep, I used the same type of shots as he did, because they were cool. lol I've yet to drastically change the vegetation models, but so far so good. More to come soon! PS: I wasn't sure where I should put this thread, so I put it here, since there have been a few forest mod threads (including tests) in here.

Looks awesome, but the ground textures in the 3rd and the 4th pics needs to be abit higher res imo, looks too blurry..
      Quitted modding.

Parallax can have that effect on you,  I'll keep the blurring in mind  Once I get all the assets done, I'm making a map out of it. Then I'll probably release them to the public for use  As for my secret, Liam was wrong lolz. Here, I'll tell you... I haven't made the new vegetation models yet. ^^;

Aren't I clever? lolz I did something funny today. I took some pictures with my digital camera, and I fooled nearly everyone who saw them, except for my brother, who plays Crysis, and even he had a hard time seeing it. Yay for digital cameras. I'm still tweaking things, trying to vary the ground plants a bit. Then I'll move on to my custom tree models and such. Update soon!
