New screenshots I have the intro cinematics nearly done --------------------------------------------------- C17 complete with new front-side engine effects, pilots and cockpit instruments. Large image--------------------------------------------------- Cinematic using AI instead of Animobjects (requires lots of flowgraphs and trackview integration) The AI are on a moving plane (Well rotating back and forth), they aim and fire at a moving target. Large Image--------------------------------------------------- Umm, those two don't live very long though. Large Image

I didn't know it was possible to stand inside a moving plane on Crysis.

Combined with moving particles it makes for a very convincing effect. The plane is also a RigidBody, I am not sure if that makes a large difference or not. Currently the scene needs some tweaking for performance. The scene currently has AI, Trackview, lots of physics, sounds, particles, etc... all moving at once so currently the FPS on high drops to 15fps. Of course I had the last part of the cutscene done last night at 3am...but forgot to save before the editor crashed. X(

(in one of those screens) The same way Crytek did it. I placed a AnimObject of nomad without a head under the camera and applied an animation. ("Blinded" is the animation) The Animobject is carefully animated to follow along with the camera.

HUGE! I have the introduction cut-scene pretty much complete! There are still lines to be recorded and timing that needs to be tweaked. The video is on stage6 now. [STAGE6]tutorials/zapwizard/2042473_How to capture great in-game video.divx[/STAGE6] I also I made a video of my vaporizing man script: [STAGE6]wip/zapwizard/2042464_Castaway Preview - Vaporize.divx[/STAGE6] Again timing and lines are NOT what they will be in the game, it is proof of concept for the script. (/edit flowgraph) I will post the script later when I get home. I also have scripts for the energy power-up (then down) which was VERY tough. And a cool damaged nano-suit script that limits your abilities until you get repaired. There is still lots to be done however, the facility interior, several more (much less complex) cutscenes, etc... etc...
