Looks like you're doing a really nice job, i look forward to downloading it. Of course, when i first saw the thread i thought you were talking about the 1980's film Castaway, but i guess thats just my age showing.

So I'm having trouble with my Visarea. The problem is, my cave is only about 4 voxel units large, but I only want the starting area to have sunlight effects (being a verticle shaft, it looks like crap without the sun effects, but looks amazing with them). However the problem is that within the same voxel object as the top, the cave levels off, where I want it to start being true darkness.
However you mentioned VisArea's in you video seem to only work right on voxels if it covers the entire VO area. This appears to be true, but I can't think of a working way to get only my top part of my considerably smaller scale cave than yours, sunlit and the rest not sunlit.
I tried seperating into 8 smaller objects. While this seemed to work with VisArea's, it didn't work too well with Portals, which wouldn't display the insides of the VisArea at all. Part of the reason is half of my cave clips through two of the mini-voxel objects, and apparently portals don't work if they are over two VO's?
I don't know, its just acting really funky.

I must say this is by far the best Map I've seen , looks awesome, brilliante work mate, also have a question... Is this a single player Map ?! Cause it looks like everyone is making and Moding online MP Maps and forget a bit about Modding single misions for example... It would be nice to see some of the imaginative Map Moders creating a Single player Map pack with this quality ! )

Yes, it is a 15-chapter / objective single player map. My estimate is it will take between 1 and 3 hours to complete depending on how aggressive you are. I have been fleshing out a story since I started the map. I have friends consulting on the story, about half of them are gamers, the other half just like good stories. The story line won't involve aliens or any weird effects, just because I would rather have a now feel then a 2020 feel. (Besides the nanosuit of course) If anyone is genuinely interested in helping on the map or story, I have started a mod team here: http://www.crymod.com/moddbslist.php?id=150I am looking for the following, if only someone to help move things along: -Animators (Cutscenes, and facial animation) -Detail artists (Fleshing out areas with the little details) -AI expert (Making sure the AI works properly in a variety of situations, some trigger stuff) -Flow graph builder (For cut scenes and triggers) -Voice talents (Short lines, only one character talks over the radio throughout the mission) -Some Custom texture work (Wilson...a few things to link the map to the castaway movie) Currently I am just learning most of the above, so even if it is someone who can teach me the tricks I can run from there.

Correct, the island location itself it the only thing. It isn't even located in Fiji necessarily at that is 4000-miles from North Korea. It's just "somewhere" in the pacific. (Same as the movie really) If I get custom textures and models in later I will add some things like Wilson on the beach, or the writing on the rock from the end of the movie, but that is about it. While the island is 1:1 scale, and it resembles the island from most angles, the terrain is sculpted more to steer the player along rather then be an exact replica. The real island is actually too jagged and most of the beaches far too small for any real action to take place anyways.
