Yeah, i hope so.

And i run too, but not becouse of blood pressure, but becouse im.... chubby. But i got in shape tho.

I used to run for that reason as well but that was back when I was in my twenties. Now I'm in my forties and health takes precedence over vanity! Of course, I would be lying if I said that losing some pounds was not also a factor.

Me and you McKool, I am knocking on 50's door! I used to have high blood pressure, once from pressure from job (stress) and also from drinking too much beer. I quit drinking alcohol and my blood pressure is pretty much normal now.

Anyway, we can wait for your map, health is much more important. Although if you take to long I could kill over before I see it! :D That's the way I feel these days, even with good blood pressure.

EDIT: I'm joking! ;)

I can't wait to test it (if Im still on the list) and do some VOs if needed.

Wow! I just came across this thread and I gotta say the level design is very impressive and good work on this!
If I had one thing to criticize it would be about the lighting...
I think your lights' radius are too big and I would also lower the diffuse multiplier on some areas to create a creepier atmosphere to your level.
Other than this I love what you've done with this place I sure am gonna follow next updates and play this level once it's released.

he looks like a stalker. nice factory. you could insert the factory on crymod to be able to download it. ;)

I think thats not possible because its only a factory so its a map.

Thanks for the lighting tips. I have actually been struggling with that a little as I have the following challenges:

1. I have to keep the number of lights down or else decals fade noticeably from certain angles. I use Occluders and Vis Areas but that doesn't seem to help. If you look a certain direction and the engine sees anything over roughly 4 or 5 DLights(Over various rooms) then the decal fades.
2. I want certain sections very dark which are easy as that obviously takes fewer lights but some sections I want to be a bit lighter. The best way I found to do this with fewer lights is to increase the radius and place the light more inbetween light models.

I will try your suggestion and see if that helps. If it were not for the decal issue, I would place very directional lights and enjoy the deep shadows. I have managed to do this in a few small areas but the larger areas just are not conducive to this. I need the decals for blood splats as well as a higher level of detail otherwise I would not use them at all. Lightinig would be so much easier if it were not for that issue. ?(

I'm afraid Wiebeg is correct as my entire level is the indoor environment you see so exporting it as an asset would be a bit impractical. :))

Anyway, thanks to everyone for the nice comments and suggestions. I'm working on it a little slowly but I am making steady progress. I keep a spreadsheet of tasks to complete on the map broken down by sections and I am encouraged to see just how much I have completed.

I also think I have finally figured out just how it will end which was a big worry for me. Of course, I will not give anything away. You will just have to find out when it is released. ;)
