Ive been texturing my knife an was wondering if you
guys know a good texture for the blade?

I redid some texturing on my knife an when finished i thought i
would give to the comunity once im finished.

this kind of comment will never help him improve.

please don't get me wrong, i think compliments can be good, but people need to learn to accept, and give, constructive criticism.


on to the model + texture.

lack of wireframe gives me little to comment on with regards to the model, but seeing as your cry for help is related to the texture, that's where i'll try to help.

you have a long way to go, but don't stop. have a look at a real knife, or especially, a combat knife. are they ever a flat gray colour? does blood ever look like a strange pink splodge?

pay attention to the way knives are polished, where scratches appear, how the blade looks after its edge has been sharpened. use reference, try to recreate that reference in your painting application.

the absolute worst thing you can do, if you want any sort of success as a texture artist, is just pull a picture from somewhere, and paste it onto your uvw map.
