Sort of.
If you guys want to use my models, just ask and I will deliver.
I am however still debating if I want to sell some of my models like the rocket launcher [I didn't post that but it's on my website, check out da sig] and this sniper rifle I am working on right now.
Thanks for the welcome back Havoc, it's been a while.

Have a go at a texture, other than just some colouration. It`ll make all the difference. Like your sticks for example...Get them mapped and diffused at least...They are totally boring textures, which detract from pretty good models. eg.. You get my drift?

Agreed with Bull. You seem to be able to model ok, some of the content in your portfolio could do with some serious work, but the assets in this thread aren't too shabby. But you should deffiantly give texturing a go.

I want to, I just don't know where to start, it's all a bit overwhelming for me. I have experience in photoshop CS3 and Illustrator CS3 so I'm not completely blind, lol.

Start by gaining some experience within the uv editor, unwrapping, exporting the uv`s or texporting them, finally skinning those uv`s and assigning the skinned image in max.Start with basic primitives..... ie,boxes,cylinders...

The scope looks great, but on the high poly version you really need to put in some more support loops to make it look less round. Don't get me wrong; the low poly version looks great but the roundness of the high poly version makes it look too cartoony.

I feel kind of silly that some of my models got a feature article and they weren't the newest versions of those particular models, ie non-uploaded images.
Like to compare my finished sniper scope to the featured one, there's a lot more detail. And the scope on the rifle, that's not a finished piece, I just wanted a simple gun to put the scope on and see how it looks. I wish I was contacted before the feature came out so I could upload fresher images.
Oh well

I did a little bit more work on the automatic sniper rifle. Foregrip still needs work, etc places. It's not done! lol Gonna put in a little more more today before classes and stuff, clean it up add little details here and there. Just a bit of clarification, this is a portfolio piece, not aiming for it it be in any game or mod, just something I'm doing for fun and hopefully learning along the way.

lol just in time for another update Cleaned up smoothing errors in stock for the most part added tactical grip attachment extended barrel fluted barrel, just for looks next up: make proper rails, mine are not realistic make attachments like laser pointer add smaller scope on top of sniper scope to make it more futuristic looking fix smoothing errors party because then it will be done. Around that time I will also upload once-again redesigned website

Someone, sorry name eludes me ATM, its late lol, requested some guns. One of them was a micro uzi. After 2 hours I made a good base model... The rest is details... as usual. Damn my pics suck. I need to get my hands on a decent mental ray lighting tutorial. === Started up another project real fast, a melee item, freaking knife!!! I just mirrored the sides, good after 1 hour of work. I go home now, come back later do school work and more work on this later. See ya l8r.

What I do is use two spotlights - one on the upper left of the left viewport, and one on the upper right, they work quite well as floodlights. Then I will use omni lights to get in the spaces the spotlights won't cover. Remember to set the shadow type (the small pull-down menu under where it says Shadows) for Mental Ray Shadow map, and use Global Illumination, that will give your model a somewhat reflective and realistic look, especially when textured.
