With the permission of the original designer it should be fine.
But please discuss this somewhere else.

so you should basicly convert your textures into 256x256 512x512 etc. format before applying them to the model because they have to be that size when you manually convert them over to dds, right?

@theanzelm: Great work. Do you consider working with upstream to fix the problems with the latest colladacgf & sketchup, and bundle your sketchup wrapper along with it? If it's because the newer resource compiler doesn't want to process the sketchup dae models, you can easily make it use an older version. Just look in the (very short) source code - it's pretty much self-explanatory. But I'm happy to answer any questions about it.

You mean the sourcecode of ColladaCGF?
When I find some time I will have a look at it!

Cool. Just shout if you have any questions about it. Aside, timewise, I may not be around too much the coming weeks (RL is catching up... maybe you've seen my post in the blendercgf thread) so don't be discouraged if I don't reply immediately.

Okay im running into a little problem right here. Export Process ends at 41% and it goes on as if its finished, BUT i dont get a cgf file. Only gives me a mtl file.
No groups, only components. Had the suspicion that the warehouse windows-models were the problem and removed them, but that didnt fix it.

It might be the degenerated faces issue, its collada problem, not that exporter issue i guess.
Anyway this tool is extremely useful and it saves a lot of time, especially when i need to check same degenerated faces issue very often by exporting models into SB2.

When i export the model, only the default sphere appears when i want to load the model into Sandbox. The plugin worked the few first times, but seems to have ceased working now :/ Everything goes without an error or anything. I use Sketchup 6, and i have tried with 7 too, but it does not work with neither of them.
The settings are
Convert components to groups : No Export material : Yes
It might be that it is since i loaded it from the Google Warehouse, but the models that made it into the editor were from the Warehouse too, but they were lacking textures, they just consisted of the basic mesh and a black texture.

Have you enabled convert to components now?
Because from the debug it looks like there are still components left.
