Hi CryTek

Just wondering, as a long time LightWave 3D user, what would be the changes of seeing a CryExport plugin for LightWave 3D?

I know there will be a whole bunch of us wanting to create models for this awesome engine!

i know that m8 ;) i was alsow talking to an freelance scripter or crytek !

just want to give the response that there r truly "a whole bunch of" LW artists
who hope for an exporter !

guess i just dont find the right words in english ;)

edit:
i just noticed that u can export direct to 3DS out of lightwave ...
but im not shure that all necessary informations are includet ?(

would be not that problem to go the extra mile trough max to export
the stuff i build in LW but im not shure if i get the dynamic stuff cleen exported
like endo morphs and baked IKbone animations.(or even vertex color and weight maps)
i heard that ".lwo" is the format with the most informations on each piot so i assume that
max is not able to read and handle them all. ?(

i dont want to go the step back to max and do the stuff there while
i got an fine workflow with a "REALY" professional tool at home ...

I am sure Ive seen you post that before :)

Lightwave isnt planned as far as I am aware, however, that doesnt mean someone cant write one. One of the best CGF/CGA importers for CE1 was written by a community member and went on to becoming a Crytek employee, so community made exporters is proven and possible.
