I've been working on a project called "Letters Upon A Page" for the past few months, posting news updates both on my Mod DB profile, and my website - but not here, for some reason...
Anyway, you chaps (and chap-ettes) get the pleasure of seeing a late-stage WIP video, which was posted in this news update.
The purpose of this project is not to create a playable game, as such (at least, not yet) - but to create a semi-interactive sound design portfolio for a final-year university module, because I'd like to work in video game sound design, and creating a static list of sound clips for somebody to listen to did not really employ all of my skills nor appeal to me.
I've set the release date for the 16th of May (in 11 days) - but I shall only release on this day if various technical problems are resolved. I will post a news update on the website, here, facebook, and Mod DB when I'm ready to release. Jolly good!
The video exhibits most of the sounds, though some weren't working for some reason - including a piece of music. Unfortunately, FMod seems to be commensurately fantastic and unreliable...
Anyway, here you go:
Enjoy! Mark

Nice, but for this sort of presentation camera should be controlled by trackview to produce smooth movement. It would also allow using different effects like fading etc.
Thanks guys There are improvements to come - I'd particularly like to replace the guitar parts in the first piece of music with a recording of a real guitar, as opposed to samples - but this depends on finding the time to do it

I'm pleased to make available today the first release of Letters Upon A Page - Portfolio Release 1.00 (P100). This has been in development for the past 120 days (yes, I counted them...) - since January the 23rd, when my university semester began. I have been required to complete not only this, but other modules, and masses of associated documentation - hence there just wasn't time to create everything I had envisaged. Nevertheless, I'm finished! Free! Unconstrained, joyous and exultant! Unencumbered, released of my burden and running nakedly through the- anyway...
The point is, expect more content! The plan for the next few weeks is as follows: Week 01: Portfolio Release version 1.00 (P100) Week 02: Patch any bugs reported in P101 with version 1.01 (P101) Week 04: Add more audio content with version 1.10 (P110) Week 05: Patch any bugs reported in P110 with version 1.11 (P111) etc.
I have a large list of jobs to complete, and (hopefully) ample time in which to complete them...
Here are some WIP shots I recently posted, which will give you a flavour of what to expect:
