Post Topic: Drivable Civilian Vehicles V1.2 update
PostPosted 21.07.2011, 04:16

This is a simple mod that makes all those civilian vehicles like the taxi and semi-rig drivable in the campaign or in the engine for mod use. So Far I have managed to get them drivable but am in the progress of adding more features and making my scripts replace the default ones.

v1.1 Updates
-civ_car now has lights (wip) and horn
-civ_car now shows player model in 3rd person view
-1st person view added for armored car

v1.2 Updates
-Player exits vehicles properly
-Icv 1st person view (credits to the_can)
-Blackops Helicopter is now drivable

They are actually. :) All you have to do is copy certain files over; there's a tutorial on YouTube.

Ok so I worked on this project some more and got the 3rd person cams to rotate. I also started work on the 1st person cams and a cinematic cam.

Problems:
-low res interior texture (looks horrible)
-No steering animations like they had in crysis 1 (this is why 1st person view wasn't included in crysis 2)
-My ingame mod loader still won't load the mod

And yes chicken the wheels spin

To get the modloader load the Mod, the folder name is not allowed to have a space in it. Instead of "Drivable Vehicle", write "Drivable_Vehicle", then it should be working. ;)

Oh really ? :O do you have the Youtube link about that ?

and going to be awesome all civilan vehicle drivable :D yes Grand Thief Crysis <3

EDIT : Yes there is a youtube tutorial to import vehicle but
-its with the leaked Beta
- with the Actual SB3 you can do the same thing, and make a AI drive a tank but
- -the tank wont use a AIpath, the tank will move with the AIGoto node ( when you enable AI ) if you go in game ( ctrl+G) the SB3 will crash
--You still cant drive the crysis Vehicle, but you can enter in them.

Here's a little video demonstration various views

I still have to edit the damage multipliers because as you can see the cars set on fire way too easily.

the terrain dont cast shadow correctly when the vehicle does.

maybe tweak a bit more the truck suspension and his mass :p, and add the particle when the vehicle is driven.

But, really good work :D
