It is the year 2157, Earth is on the brink of destruction from a catastrophic war for the few natural resources left. In desperation, humanity launches Project Generation, sending a self-building and self-aware AI controlled ship through a wormhole to a far off planet capable of sustaining human life. The AI's goal is to lay down the foundation of buildings, farms, supplies and irrigation and so forth for the human colonists which will be arriving in 72 years due to cryostasis travel method, as humans and animals cannot endure wormhole travel. The colonist ships were launched 12 years apart from each other due to low resources and funding in the Earth Nation's Government.
Thrown into this new world head first, all has not gone as planned. Facing an all powerful runaway AI, your role in the resistance will seek to prove mankind's place in this new terrifying future.
We have a great sci-fi story to tell and like our recent work "The Worry of Newport" want to make sure it's not just an after thought, story and immersion is what Dark Craft Studio's is all about.
We are using CryEngine 3 editor to create our mod, using assets from Crysis 2 with a few custom brushes ect and as such all you will need to play is a updated copy of Crysis 2. Our aim is to match performance seen in Crysis 2 for frame rates ect or better. With this in mind you can feel confident as to the play ability defendant on your rig
My plan is to work on all fronts at the same time, Goal 1 being a complete game start to finish in basic form. Once we have that we can improve on quality performance and all the other details that make it special. With this approach I hope to eliminate that fateful comment all modders fear "Mod Cancelled"! So when Alpha stage is complete we will have a working campaign. From that point things just get better

We're very excited to present this mod to you guys through a story debriefing and trailer. We've been working on this ever since Worry of Newport completed, and despite the hassles of learning a new editor, of realizing there are very very few assets and finding workarounds, and of gaining the inspiration to finally peg down the story, I feel like we're in a comfortable place and will rapidly be moving forward. You can expect a very engaging and thoughtful, immersive experience. Jason is making some tremendous strides with trackview and animating and modelling and I am giving the story and pacing my full attention.
Between us both we can create a wonderful mod I believe, and we can't wait to show you guys when its done.
