Maybe a little bit too much speed, but it brings C2 a little bit closer to the original Crysis. Looks like you've got unlimited energy to springt and jump, that's a little bit too much from my PoV ;)
btw. Is that a DLC map you're playing on?

It looks like a Halo MP for me - run fast, shoot fast, die suddenly.

Unlimited sprint and jump is in Crysis 3 multiplayer. We took ideas from Crysis 3 and Crysis Wars for our mod. The map shown is a map I created for the Ignition map pack, based on the C2 singleplayer level Central Park.

You don't die very fast in the mod. Armour mode acts like it does in Crysis Wars.

I hope you will download it and come play with us sometime!

I tried it, and I have to say that there is no balance between movement and gunplay. This is the wrong game for such an approach for gameplay, it is based around slow and controlled movement, but with this mod, it's like I'm playing Crysis 2 on crack.

It is now not a tactical movement-component, it is more a run-or-be-dead-gameplay, where everything kills you from somewhere, because everyone jumps, sprints, and shoots like the game got pumped with steroids.

No fun to me...

I never liked Crysis 2 MP, And its not because you take weapon found on the map that it look more like C wars.

In C Wars, you had the C1 nanosuit, it was more tactical than just something who look like Quake3 arena ( without the rocket jump - circle jump.. mean all interesting movement ), where you run and jump everywhere like a crazy bunny.
Also C Wars had a more realistic approach for every single movement + nanosuit power. So please, dont say it have something to do with Crysis wars.
( Find a gun on a map is as old as Doom or whatever old school fps )

Also, the "nanosuit speed sprint" who cost no energy is the worse idea ever, they just made that in C3 because the C2 "speed sprint" was, by default as slow as whatever human sprint, so that made no sense, since it was just a normal sprint who use energy.

So, instead of giving back a human sprint + a real nanosuit speed mode, they just delete the energy usage who turn the "speed sprint" as a basic human sprint like in every single FPS.
= Delete the real nanosuit speed sprint. ( lazy choice )

So doing like C3 dont mean its a good idea..

The map still look as a random little arena, like every "good" console MP game.

And agree with JustNameless. Nothing interesting for me, it just look to delete the very few last "tactical" choice that C2 was offering.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I understand it's not for everyone. I created it for the active Crysis 2 Multiplayer community. It takes a lot of skill to be good at the mod, so you won't like it if you can't play it good.

I just posted the link up here to grab any old Crysis 2 players who might be hanging around CryDev.

The feedback I have received from the active Crysis 2 community has been incredibly positive.

it's not a question of beeing good or not.

As a aracadish fast game, Quake 3 arena, except for the graphic is far away more skill asking and interesting to play.
(circle jump movement / rocket jump / hit someone jumping with a rocket.. compare to that Crysis 2 skill needed = 0, go play Q3 arena and you are going to really understand what mean "skill" in a FPS )
If i want a Crysis game, Crysis Wars is far away more interesting to play du to the smart nanosuit management it ask. Unlike Crysis2 where its just stealth - use armor when gun fight.
Or if i want a more "realist" game, BF3, except for the nanosuit, offer everything, and do it better.

That's just a question of what Crysis 2 can offer ( even with your mod ) that other games dont ( As MP game )

But that's impressive to see player who still like C2 MP xD
And good luck for your mod ^^

Crysis 2 multiplayer the truth is that the just a cod nanosuit management. Indeed, there is no nanosuit challenge nothing. Perhaps more ideas Crysis 3 will be a true sci-fi fps. Maybe

with all respect, but can you tell me where did ya see in Crysis 3 unlimited sprint? and i think jumping wasn't limited in any of the Crysis series.......

As for this mod: its crazy fast, for this speed in general MP you would get a permanent ban...anyway, i think its unrealisticly fast, and not in the fun way!

Crysis 3 has not unlimited sprint, but it's not bound to the suit energy.
Jumping was not limited in C2, BUT the super jump and we where talking about this.
Sure you would get banned if you go this fast in the normal MP. BUT this is a mod, and everyone has the same abilities so it's balanced and fair.
About realism: do you think a nanosuit with camo is realistic ^^ dude it's very similar to the suit speed in the original Crysis. I haven't played it yet, but it definetly looks like a funny thing for 2-3 hours (definetly not forever, but for short times).

Remember the initial purpose of the mod was to fix the bugs in Crysis 2 multiplayer. Which we have achieved. We also brought a bunch of new features to the multiplayer, brand new attachments creating new gameplay styles. You can only see one map from the video. In fact there are 6 brand maps. And the original 12 maps have been revamped which you can see here: http://www.mycrysis.com/forums/download ... &mode=view

Agreed. Quake 3 has always been the best fps imo because it perfected that style, and always required some serious skill, from strafe jumping to the rail gun, it has always been the most challenging, and competitive mp out there.

@ War Spirit, what you have done with this mod, and all the content you have added to C2's multiplayer, is excellent. With that said, this mod doesn't really work with Crysis 2. You are trying to mix the style of quake 3 with Crysis 2, when you shouldn't. The best thing you could do for Crysis 2, is to find that balance between the stock game, and what you have here. People should be able to use the abilities more than they do in the stock game, but not as much as this. Still though, this mod looks like it could be a fun alternative to the normal mp, to play every once and a while.

So you may remember that I played 2 rounds with you a few days ago ^^ dude be a little bit more patient with newcomers, I didn't play Crysis 2 for over 4 months now and then I join a server, and the players there just kick my ass -.- Next time I'm gonna choose an empty server, I have a better chance to survive if I play alone without any enemy ^^
Btt. It makes surprisingly fun to play it, even if you got **cked so hard by everyone ^^ very fluent gameplay and enhancements on the suit don't feel much unrealistic like others said. I would say it makes even more fun than the original MP, keep it up like this :thumbsub:
