THIS IS A HALO THEMED MAP PACK AS WELL AS A STAND ALONE MULTIPLAYER PACKAGE BEING CREATED BY the CHM (Cryhalomaps) Mod team and I.
Hello all, you may remember the HaloMaps Project on the cryengine 2 Mods forum. It was shut down a long time ago and since then I have kept everyone in the dark from the project.
Some updates on the CryHaloMaps Project:
Hugeass Map's Cry file was corrupted that Hugeass map is no more.
As well as the Immure remake.
Hmm not much has been done as you can see it being the reason I had not re created my closed halomaps thread.

I have current projects going, I recently started to use Cryengine 3 which I disliked due to so few default assets, Sandbox 2 had a lot more assets, but I found the engine to be far more beautiful then the Cryengine 2.

Projects:
Keye's Map; (SP)
a forerunner sentinel corridor flood containment map environment.

Halo Map; (SP) (MP)
a Halo ring world based environment map which has forest areas, grasslands, ice lands, ect... and features the forerunner structures a pretty Halo ring world sky box

Hammer; (MP)
a deserted, barren, inhospitable canyon landscape which features tank combat style mapping, and flood containment facilitys various underground structures a crashed halcyon cruiser ect. Based to represent the "Extinction" map from Halo CE.

Epilogue; (MP)
a cold barren freezing landscape with two massive glaciers on both sides of the map, features all out ship to ship combat in the skys above, has a massive bridge on the ground connecting the two glaciers map represents the "Cold Snap" map from Halo CE

Hugeass; (MP)
featuring grasslands, canyons, desert areas, and forerunner facilitys on each side with air and ground combat capabilitys.

Dreadnought; (MP)
The resting place of the forerunner librarian. In this region of a mysterious installation lies the librarian's dreadnought, a all mighty warship created and piloted by the Librarian her self. The ship crashed in a vast beautiful bright blue lake, vegetation consumes the landscape. The few areas untouched by plant life reveal mysterious wreckages, structures and facilitys, what else could be hiding in the behind this mysterious..., alien landscape?

Unnamed Campain | Chi Rio
The campaigns location and time, it will take place mostly on the Planet of Chi Rho. The planet is famous for its location and for the majority of its population. Its location is considered to be on the border of the Outer and Inner colonies in (whats left of) Human controller space within the Halo Universe. This being the case, the population of Chi Rho is mostly comprised of refugees from Covenant attacked colonies. While the time will be after the invasion and near destruction of the UNSC Military Planet Fortress Reach. While it will be before the invasion of humans home planet...Earth. The Character you will play as will remain another mystery entirely until the beta's release. But what I can tell you is two things. One of them is that the type of character will not be the same through out the campaign itself as it has been in all other Halo games. Whether that be a Marine, ODST, Spartan or even a High Rank Military official. Though you will play as the same character itself, the type will change later in the campaigns storyline.

The Paris Frigate Design.
You will also see being seeing the first ever Frigate with both a interior and exterior design. The Frigates interior is being built from the ground up and from complete scratch (meaning we are only using a shell for the exterior) and in addition to this we have very little information to base our interior design off of. This is because though it may be a Frigate, it is a class of Frigate that has never had a interior design to see by any Halo player. This means it may take some time, but we already have the two main hangers done and are now working on a ship hospital for the ships crew and occupants.

MESSAGES FROM THE CHM Team:

    Hello and Good Day everyone! Let me introduce myself, I am Flam1ng Dem0n and I am the head of our 3ds Max model division, head of our character and vehicle animation department, and last I am pleased to announce the leader of our story development and campaign design. As you all know CryHaloMaps had originally planned to be a Multiplayer only Game for the CryEngine 3, but we have now taken on the task of creating a entirely new campaign with new characters (by name and not by type), new story (which I am currently personally writing with frequent input from Japith himself), and will have a new type of weapon that has yet to see the light of the Halo Universe. What that weapon will be....will remain a mystery until we release a possibly beta version of our campaign. During which you will personally meet the main character and his fellow brothers and sisters in arms.

Though I will not tell you where in the story it lies, because...why ruin a good surprise? And so I present to you a piece the story of a man that tell how his life changed forever after a fateful day.


    Spartan 1: Charged Shot….FIRED!

    A crack and boom is heard splitting the nights silence as a metal slug accelerates almost to the speed of sound. It soon finds its target and a solid cloud of blood materializes behind the head of an Elite as it impacts.

    Spartan 2: I got him!

    A figure clad in green metal appears out of thin air as she sprints towards the target, catching it before he can hit the rocky ground.

    Farther behind the first green figure a second figure appears suddenly. The figure curls all of his fingers except for the thumb, which is stuck facing up. Signaling “Good Job” or “Ok”. He briskly walks up to the first green figure and pats her on the shoulder.

    Spartan 3: Good job Spartans! One more dead Covy. We must hurry, the objective is close. We should keep moving. The dawn will be here soon and the night is our best stealth against these bastards.

    A third green figure walks up behind the second one and taps him on the left shoulder. The second figure turns to his left, looking for the source.

    Spartan 1: Over here! Man I get you every time!

    The second figure turns to his right to see another figure leaning against what looks to be a Sniper Rifle almost half his height.

    Spartan 3: Snipz have many times have I told you to take the mission seriously. Fighting the Covenant is never a joke. Do the Cove-

    Snipz: Ya, ya Jayson. I know what you are going to say. “Do the Covenant take killing people as a joke”, you have asked me that question plenty of time. At least more then five times now. I know what they are like, did you forget that I have been fighting them for a long time now too and that they forced my own father to sacrifice himself to save an entire support ship?

    Snipz pick up his Sniper Rifle, turns back towards the objective and started to walk.


    I know, I know. The piece of script is short but it still tells a piece of what a couple of characters will be like in the campaign. Even the smallest of information can be the most powerful and on top of that I am going to give out another piece of "teaser " information. It has been decided (for the time being) that the name of our story will be called The Rank of a Spartan. The reasoning behind this will remain clouded in the fog of mystery because it is the backing behind the story itself. And with that I would like to thank everyone for reading and enjoying what will be in a long line of events to an incredible campaign.

    Please keep up the support and we will do our utmost best to create a experience that will thrill and hopefully provide many fun hours of gameplay for the members of this community, and hopefully many other communities.

The "Keyes" Map images looks awesome! Do you think you will add more then what you have as of now? Or what we see in the picture is what is available? Also...I sent you two PMs asking if you need help and more. Please check you Inbox when you get the chance.

What you see in the picture is whats available for now . I will add more links right now it says 25% complete eventually it will go higher as I get closer to a full fledged halo mission.

I have a concept that im going to build (unfortunately not pics atm).

Basically is a forerunner installation across some scattered isalands that has become overgrown with vegatation. The installation has been sought after for many years as is thought to be the final resting place of "The Librarian" part of the forerunner race.

Basically the map consists of forerunner structures on three seperate islands which are overgrown with vegatation.

Awesome project ! I wouldn't have chose Keyes (Maybe something else like Blood Gulch, a bit simpler but the forerunner buildings are not interesting on this map) but it's a great work. =)

I believe the landscape is ingame, but the Scorpion tanks and Scarab are concept art.
