Rock Pack

Granite rocks: 10 variants
Shale type rocks: 3 Variants
Overhangs and cliff rocks: 3 Variants
Dirt and root types: 2 Variants
Small Pebbles to large stones: 3 variants

Alpine area human props Pack:
Barb Wire Fences: 4 variants
Wooden Fences: 4 Variants
Platforms and small buildings: 4 variants
Sawmill Area Assets: Many Log piles of varying quality and type. 2 Variants

Terrain Textures:

Pine Needles
Moss
Mud
Gravel
Pebbles
Grass

all are 2048x2048 Textures

Package notes:

Rock Pack

All textures for all rocks are 2048x2048 and ready for downsizing if it fits your project better.
*Exception*
2 of the Huge rocks are 4096x4096 because they are meant to be used as very large rocks that either fill in the background or make area's impassable.

Pine Pack

Textures for the Pines range from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048 for Cinema style projects

In the future I'm going to be making a filler pack with dead, broken, and fallen tree's.

Alpine area human props

These range from 2048 x 2048 to 1024 x 1024

the objects themselves are meant to be used a few times, and aren't the most detailed or anything, they are very good filler pieces for a larger overall scene.

Updates and releases

I will be releasing monthly updates to the asset pack that will be putting in new items and fixing any issues that arise as surely there will be many differing opinions on the way these should be used.

Once a Pack is released check back here every once and a while and there should be updates for you to download.

Looking very nice. Especially for a first try on vegetation!
I've been looking forward to asset packs like this,...I hope stuff like this will greatly the improve the variation of whatever Maps/Levels the community will produce in the future. :)
Are there any plans on destructable trees in the future (or is the feature already included)?

Nice work, the twisted shape of the trees reminds me of the old Northern tree pack by michi:be (for Cryengine 2) - either way it's looking good! :)

good work. try to fix the "glow" of the 2d branches and use alpha test.

I am using alpha test, and yeah. I just noticed that myself, I can fix it pretty easy. Its just a specular issue.

Any requests or suggestions for assets to include?

I doubt it, since Cryengine 3 doesn't generate sprites so you can't have them for any vegetation currently... :P

Looks great, I envy your ability to find the time to model all that within such a short time! I've been working on some more vegetation for a while too - so many plans, so little time...

@The_Grim:

Actually Im working on that problem, Ive created billboards for the models, and put them as LOD's. This creates sprites on a billboard at far distance, and a 2/3rds poly LOD at medium range.. saving 100's of draw calls and 100,000's of thousands of Polys in large scenes.

Its just a creative way to get around the system.. And so far its been a great result.

And thanks I know what you mean, time is essential. Im running through a massive update to my workflow, i can make on avarage 2 Full quality plants a day now. with bending, and LOD's from scratch, including textures.

Now I just have to work on getting the quality aspect. :(

@Cry-Adam:

You and me both adam. hehe

@ Chicken:

Yes you can, soon my friend! soon!! in a week or two I will be Debuting And hopefully if all goes well this will be released for SDK and MODSDK users.

Yep, that's what I'm doing as well! That way you can actually control the appearance and resolution of the sprite texture too. :)

Looking forward to the release!
