okay, sorry guys been a lot of time delayed.. thanksgiving holidays is to blame!! Got a good rest in though ... Anyways here's some images of the new and improved Pine tree's. please Note this is a single model that i made to test the new textures. Thank you guys for being patient with me, it will certainly be worth it for you all Also note that the specular map isnt in place, and the material was setup for rainy conditions so its a but too shiny. here's some of these two in max:

nice tree model I think the branch texture has to many branches, delete some , its to sharp too and try less Alphatest --- maybe it fits better to the tree. here found these

@Chicken: Less Alpha test should work, though the image you sent of those pine needles is the wrong type of pine tree i'm making my hometowns pinetree's they don't look like that thanks though, I'm working on varied textures for it. im sure that you will find one you like @The_Grim.. thank you very much grim UPDATE: here are a few assorted Rocks that will be included in the package as of today. Note that any of them may change, and that there are more types that I am working on for you all most are quite low poly, and can be used many times. The highest poly ones are the ones that are meant to be quite large, such as the 1000 Tris one on the far left. here's a nighttime shot with some new tweaks:

A few major news updates:
Be ready, cause Tuesday at 11:59PM -0500 GMT the Pine pack will be released and ready for all you guys to play around with.
This is a limited release as the package is too large in terms of filesize, and will give me time to update everything and get all the other objects (Yes there are others) in order..
The release will be in 3 parts:
Vegitation pack:
Includes:
1 Spruce type: 4 Variants 1 Pine Type: 3 variants 3 Groundplants: 11 variants (Mushrooms, smallplants, ferns) 1 Grass type: 3 variants
Rock Pack
Granite rocks: 10 variants Shale type rocks: 3 Variants Overhangs and cliff rocks: 3 Variants Dirt and root types: 2 Variants Small Pebbles to large stones: 3 variants
Alpine area human props Pack: Barb Wire Fences: 4 variants Wooden Fences: 4 Variants Platforms and small buildings: 4 variants Sawmill Area Assets: Many Log piles of varying quality and type. 2 Variants
Terrain Textures:
Pine Needles Moss Mud Gravel Pebbles Grass
all are 2048x2048 Textures
Package notes:
Rock Pack
All textures for all rocks are 2048x2048 and ready for downsizing if it fits your project better. *Exception* 2 of the Huge rocks are 4096x4096 because they are meant to be used as very large rocks that either fill in the backround or make area's impassable.
Additional maps included for masking, in this way you can grow moss, or add dirt onto the surfaces of the rocks in a fairly dynamic way. These are masks for use by the blend shader.
Pine Pack
Textures for the Pines range from 1024x1024 to 2048x2048 for Cinima style projects
In the future I'm going to be making a filler pack with dead, broken, and fallen tree's.
Alpine area human props
These range from 2048 x 2048 to 1024 x 1024
the objects themselves are meant to be used a few times, and aren't the most detailed or anything, they are very good filler pieces for a larger overall scene.
Updates and releases
I will be releasing Bi-weekly to monthly updates to the asset packs, that will be putting in new items and fixing any issues that arise as surely there will be many differing opinions on the way these should be done.
Once a Pack is released check back here every once and a while and there will be updates for you to download.
As a side note im using Build V 2.x.x format so you can easily check what version you have by checking the Readme.
Tutorials Upcoming tutorials will be placed here. The planned tutorials are as follows:
Rocks: Part 1: Modeling Process Part 2: Baking process Part 2: Texturing Process
Vegitation: Part 1: branch and Leaf modeling Part 2: Working with Alphas and Masks Part 3: Putting it all together
Basic Asset creation: (Making a barb Wire fence) Part 1: Modeling process Part 2: Texturing and Physics Proxys Part 3 Importation. _______________________________________________________________________________
All the assets are already done, Im splitting them up to make it easier for me to release updates. And to keep track of Feedback.
untill then sleep soundly Crydev!!

The release info sounds really good! Those rocks surpass in quality pretty much everything that's been released in a similar style... Looking forward to the release!
