Hello, this a WIP of a custom Assault riffle I'm working on.
ATM the 3dmodel itself is about 60% finished,But I still need to work on a few things like the ironsights.
Right now it has a folding stock, flashlight attachment and a scope.

And the magazine

Sorry for the low-quality renders

i suggest you put atleast 2 chamfers on the front and back of your scope to make the polygons less obvious.. having a too-low-poly scope frame like that is a common mistake and its quite visible ingame especially when looking through the scope.

its always good to save polys but sometimes you need to spend some more where it counts.

Is that the Imbel IA2? The new assault rifle that'll soon be adopted by the Brazilian army? If that's the case, I can get you some reference pictures. Give me a heads up through private-messaging, if you're interested.

No, I'm not making the Imbel IA2 and srry for late reply

When I started working on this I intended it to be a semi-automatic Sniper Rifle so I Edited A few Spots on the rifle (not much as you can see)

Here you can see the 2 Rifles next to each other, as you can see the only different thing is the barrel length and the magazine. I'm planning on remodelling the receiver so they look a bit different

And a better view of the sniper scope

On a side note I'm not really happy with how the receiver looks, I think it's to "empty" And I will modify the handguard

Thanks for taking your time

Nice job, very nice, the proportions and the modelling look great, realistic and truthful, you clearly spent much time on making them the best you could, and you did good: they look wonderful ! :D

Small update:
Here are some screens how the gun looks in Crysis 2.There are some problems with edge loops, but I'm looking for a way to fix them.
(This was just a test since I wanted to know in-game errors)
ScreenShot0012.jpg ScreenShot0011.jpg ScreenShot0010.jpg
I'm starting to learn UV-mapping. And there are a few things missing on the rifle (A pistolgrip, trigger and a selector. The Handguard is going to be altered, and it still needs Iron-Sights)

sorry but I can't help you at the moment. I'm busy with my end-project which consumes a lot of time.

BTW, thanks for all the comments

Revange mate!! Im glad too see your around still!

Fantastic work mate, I like the most recent shots. Though I am not a Gun person, I don't like modeling them, or looking at em really. However yours is pretty good.. I would like an updated wireframe render if possible :)

yo, long time no see
I took a short break from modding when my previous pc broke. And I don't really have a lot of free time lately.
I just took a screencap of the wireframe. (if that's good)
WIRE_STG55.png Untitled.png
btw I don't know how to take a wireframe render in XSI, and thanks for the comment
