Post Topic: WIP Star Wars AT-PT Posted 17.02.2012, 20:38 |
Early start on my AT-PT from star wars, I plan on introducing this as both a scenery asset and then later, as a driveable vehicle. Have to leave for the weekend so I thought I'd leave it here for criticism until I get back. The AT-PT was an Anti-Infantry walker developed by the Old Republic, and constructed units were used well into the reign of the Galactic Empire. With a heavy blaster turret and concussion grenade launcher, it was extremely well-suited to anti-infantry combat, though it lacked the armor for anti-vehicle operations. Using legs instead of wheels or tracks allowed it to cross more dangerous terrain, though they also presented unique challenges and weak points for focused enemy fire.

progress update. I'd say I'm about 70% done, all the main structure is done now its just body detailing. this clocks in so far at 12,834 polys. Not as efficient as I'd like, but hopefully I can clean up some more.

Slight technical problems. After those pictures I updated last night, 3DSMax crashed on me and I lost 2 hours of work. Unfortunate. However Ive recovered Everything in those pictures except the small panel handles on the side, But I've managed to make It even better. Picture update will be provided After I do more body detailing, Have a lot to do in UDK for class tomorrow.

Looking good. You should save regularly! Just Ctrl+S every 10 minutes or so. I just do it naturally
