almost a year has passed since i released the nanosuit IK rig for CryEngine 2. Now its time for some more exploitable asset goodness.

Features:
-In addition to the easy-to-use IK setup in my old rig, I've now added wrist twist helpers, which let you create natural animations without having to resort to ugly off-the-screen trickery. It'll also be a lot easier to animate with this new set-up because you wont need to constantly move around the shoulder helpers to keep the rig together.
-Palm split in to 5 parts to allow for more flexibility (literally) when animating.
-The nanosuit arms are gone, and i've replaced them with a pair of bare human arms. This is due to a number of reasons, and most of all i hope this will let a wider range of mod-makers use these arms, as they are not constrained by the crysis universe.
-Bone fins to allow easier judging of hand-to-object collision if you dont want to use the arm-mesh while animating.´
-I've locked most of the useless position/rotation axes, so now its hard if not impossible to mess up the rig while animating furiously.
-tri-count: 6040
-textures: 2048x2048
-clothing articles will be released later as add-ons. sleeves and gloves.

Nice work mate, This will help me alot as a temp replacement till I have time to make my own. So I can concentrate on other things like the trailer.

Looking forward to Critique'ing the Rig ;)

did you try to open it? afaik autodesk implemented backwards compatibility, but im not sure how far it goes.

in any case, if you cant open the max file in 2010, then neither can i so making a 2010 version would mean having to redo the whole thing.

Hey,

Ya, I tried opening it up, wouldn't work.

In this tutorial thread, Dekkerlion included a 2010 version of his arm rig and it worked fine (it was created in max 2012 as well). So it does work, is my point ! :p

This is a REALLY nice job! Looks great, can't wait to test the arms in-game. :) Although I'd need to create some animations for the arms as well, I gather the free SDK sample animations are not compatible since the rig is your own?

nope it would be a hell of a coincidence if all the bones in my rig were named/positioned exactly the same as in crytek's rigs

alright i was just testing this rig in the cryengine and i found that it doesnt work.
Ive removed the download link until i can fix up the rig so cryengine doesnt have a problem with it.

i really should learn to test before releasing >_>
