What's an "AI object material"? I don't understand what you're after.

@TC: Do you mean objects like buildings, vegetation ect...?
And do you want to know where can you get materials for free for the cryengine?

Sounds like you want to use the Crysis 2 Mod SDK if you're looking for more assets. The Free SDK is not designed as a modding kit, it's a kit to develop full games on with your own content.

Hi,

it's not that easy but the will is important and a good start.

You need to cover many aspects. First you need to have an idea of what game you want to do. Based on this you must create a plan of goals and milestones what you want reach at specific time. Based on this you have to (or don't have to - depends on your own possibilities) assemble a team. Designers, programmers, 3D modelers, coders, story writers, voice actors etc etc - it all depends on your goal of what you want to create. They have to like your ideals about the project, they must see you believe in it and if the star constellation is in proper setup (and the motivators are working), they will eventually start to believe in your visions as well. And they will join ;)

Than you need a proper DCC Tools.

The most essential thing is time. Also it matters of what you expect from it and what it will truly give you. You can do it for fun, you can do it for educational purpose, you can do it for money... for anything. Just ask yourself what it will bring you in next 5 years horizon and...

... that's it :)

As you says the motivation is probably the most important thing and biggest problem - just not to give it up after 5 months... as we all know - nothing takes forever :-D

I'm holding myself for more than a month and so far I feel I'm not in a give-up state... yet - but it will come :-D
