Hello.
I've just installed Cry Engine SDK and launched Editor and Launcher. They both crashed. My system is Win 7 and I have installed VC redistributable 2008 SP1 and DX Redistributable 2010. My videocard is Radeon HD 3850. I've attached 7zipped Editor.log, Game.log and Error.log to this post. Where the problem might be?

How does it crash?

Loading?
Not starting at all?

Window popups for both Editor and Launcher and then error message appears with

make sure you didnt miss any files in unpacking.

I've unpacked it with 7z - every time before with other archives - everything worked fine. So I don't think that this is unpacking issue. And also I noticed, that crash happens on CryDev Login in the splash screen. Everything before it - goes well.

It may be issue with your antivirus. Mine detects launcher.exe and CryDevlogin as viruses :/

It seems - it is not antivirus issue either. Because I've disabled firewall and antivirus, but problems are still the same. After editor and launcher crashes, CryDevlogin sits in process list and eats 100% CPU time.

Ok, QA just reported they couldn't reproduce the issue on a machine with similar specs however they did note this:



Probably unrelated but can you please take a look inside your FreeSDK/Editor/Plugins/ folder and check if there's anything in there?

Also, does it actually let you type your username/password in or does it crash as soon as the window appears?

Plugins folder is empty. It does not allow me to type login and password - it crashes before it. It initializes DX 9 graphics engine and other things, than business comes to CryDevLogin, it do something for some seconds and then crashes.

Do you have another PC in the house you could try it on? Wonder whether it's a network restriction causing an issue or something on your PC specifically.

For me it launches I need to ctrl-alt-del to see the login, press login and then black screen.Nothing happens the Launcher is just not responding!

Black screen inside the Editor? That's normal, you need to create/load a level.
Nothing is supposed to happen in the launcher once it loads, you launch your level via the console.
