As for trees, I use those provided by Crytek like for grass, but this is temporary, be reassured.
Then for the texture of the sandstorm, I do not see what you reproaches it I checked several sites and watched several videos of different storms and none are alike.
Nake the Sandstorm a bit more intense. It looks fine from outside, but ehen you're inside it looks not very good. Also nake the Sandstorms cause a little damage to the player if not hidden in some spaces...
This looks great, would it be possible to increase the global fog density or attach a fog volume to the sandstorm to make it harder to see when inside of it?
The inventory system is brilliant. I really like how you gave the system a sense of actually being touchable and real. The sandstorm looks really great as well. It creates a great panic moment, which is stretched over a longer period of time.
Nice...I really like the view from outside of the storm, it's like: "Oh no what is that? fuuuuu..." but inside of a sandstorm you can't generally see very much. Maybe you can also add some kind of blur-effect, like if you have sand in your eyes.
