So, you say, US is the strongest country in the world. So why the hell are those US Guys still operating for like 10 years in the Near-East (f.ex. Afghanistan) and we can't even see any results?

Bush said, we have to fight against terrorism. So? What happened? Nothing, because the only problem USA had, was Oil. :O There was no terrorism in Near-East, it was the problem of controlling the Oil there. :]

Off-topic much?

*Begin Rant Here* And where do you get your "facts"? Michael Moore? Afghanistan's largest revenue source at present appears to be illicit drugs manufactured and sold by the Taliban from unregulated opium poppy cultivation, not oil. As to the military strength of the United States, history repeatedly shows that persistent, guerrilla resistance (justified or not*), has always been a match for even the best resourced conventional army.

Furthermore, the United States is not alone in its protracted commitment to Afghanistan. Look up ISAF, if you have a chance. I believe your home country is quite heavily involved with that international effort.

*And in the Taliban's case I'd say DEFINITELY NOT JUSTIFIED - the Taliban is a largely imported, non-Afghan, organisation which promotes a radically fundamentalist form of theocratic despotism. They are freedom-fighters only in the sense that they fight freedom.*Rant Over*

On-topic - this is looking really promising, axeldev. Fantastic to hear that you have so many people on your team :D

Off-Topic much ² ? :D :P

I'm not replying right now here, because you know this would take us to an endless discussion...And i'm not mad or smth...So let's just stay on topic. :)

What I was referring to, Axel, is that you should make sure your military facts are straight. As in: U.S. Marine running around with a FAMAS=Immersion Blowing.

Edit: How did these terrorists manage to destroy a US base? The scenario just seems unlikely.

To the masses, the US is the strongest country in the world. Although it may be strong, it certainly does not mean that it's military and bases are immune to attacks. Although this scenario may be "highly unlikely" in real life, it certainly does not mean that it has to be "highly unlikely" in a game.

The ignorance in your post is astounding! And, I think Lord summed it up quite nicely. Also, the reality with terrorism is, if you kill one important member, another simply rises up to take his place.

Back on topic... good luck Axel!

I'm not sure if that reply was towards me, but just incase, I never said the US is the strongest country in the world, I said "To the masses", meaning, to a lot of people.

Now, back to the topic, I really hope to see this game up on the front page on crydev.net :D
