You know there's a reason why Crytek is the best company when it comes to Game Engines... And this update pretty much proves my point. Looks better and it even runs better on my machine. No issues thus far (Except adapting my ToD settings to the new format :stare: ). Keep the awesomeness up!! :cheesy:

sadly looks like im hit with this ATI bug as well, cant load anything without the engine crashing :(

must be somthing im using on the map i have been working on the last few days and the forst level.. as I am using some of the assets from that..

Other maps seem to load ok ..

Avira keeps informing me of trojan when running program (and "installing"). Cant run without disabling my firewall...

Seems to be a false positive. Does Avira not support an exceptions list?

Go on, Crytek! :))
Now the only thing left is the online DRM loggin required for distribute whatever free game and allow others to install it and play it...

In the next update, maybe? ?(

its possible, although a bit hidden...you have to click on "Details" in the popup, then right click on the action in the action column and select "Always ignore". :rolleyes:

These new features only run DX11? I want to realtime reflection and receive shadow particle.....

Do I really have to download all of it again? or is there any updater.exe? Would be alot quicker to download ?

Most people will have customised installations to some extent so manual merging will be the main scenario. An updater would still require downloading the lot again unless we used some fancy delta technique. If you're purely using the SDK for level design, backing up your maps and pasting them into the new SDK should (read: no guarantees between releases) work.

is anyone seeing the graphics limited? it's like it's on low-medium, and setting it higher doesn't do anything (sys_spec_* and q_quality)

this is dx9 though, but dx11 looks the same (i'm on dx9 cause dx11 crashes too often)

nope.. at least the TOD fubars quite epicly. HDR values go through the roof and i suspect some other stuff in the environment tab as well.

Its not unfixable, but it does take some more effort than just copy pasting the level dirs.


btw has anyone else been experiencing bugs regarding custom normal maps with alpha channels? bugs such as "not working at all"

Yeah my alphas aren't working. Which means the POM isn't working. And I suppose that means tessellation doesn't work either.
