Post Topic: Quick Question! How to center geometry axis?
PostPosted 14.05.2012, 02:54
Hi there!

How do you go about centering or moving the origin/axis of an object? At the moment my object animation is rotating about the left top corner not the center of the model!

Thanks,

Ben :D

You mean in 3ds Max? Go to the tab (I forgot the name) in which a button says "Affect Pivot only". Click that and click a butzon below which says "Center to Object". Done.

Thanks for that! I usually use 3DS max but our retarded university is forcing us to use sketchup :( with play-up tools. I'll just export my models to 3DS. Thanks for the help :cheesy:

yeah, I know. Very confusing. They give you the trial version, but you're not allowed to use it in class. Read the startup banner...
