Why? this news is just linking us to the large MyCrysis news (by the MyCrysis team), because this update mainly concerns the patches for Warhead and Wars, therefore it is on MyCrysis. I imagine information on new editor and modding tools will posted here on Crymod.

If its ready we will get info early enough

Additionally we gave you an update on the Edito only a few days ago: Crytek Update!

Since then nothing really changed and that is the reason we did not put anything in the CMU. As for the patch it is differently since it is almost finishe and very close to being released to the community.

Once we are closer of releasing the editor/SDK we will provide you with more information, but righ now the status is still "Work In Progress".

what's wrong with mycrysis ?
the site is alsways incredibly long to load (nearly hanging totally) for me. why ? I've never seen this, though millions of pages browsed ... I've IE6 and normally nothing blocking pop-ups.. so what ?

My advice would be to switch from IE6. It's the worst browser ever created. Switch to Firefox/Opera/Chrome.

Google chrome has got to be one of the ugliest browsers i ever tested

I second the too long to load a page in mycrysis comment.
At work it's painfully slow to load a page and even at home with a 16mb download it's annoying.

Maybe a thread should be started on

"Who thinks there is too much eye candy on mycrysis?"

There are more lines, graphics and boarder pieces than actual content and doesn't always align properly on all browsers. Also putting a light colored background under light colored text does NOT help readability.

Ok, so has the original Crysis been abandoned by Crytek as far as patching etc, and only Wars/Warhead will ever see patching ever again?
My mod team has stayed in the original game not wanting the troubles that EA/Dice put to Bf2 mods wanting to go to 2142(not possible). Seems anything EA gets involved with cause people to buy "episodes of code". Damn you Sims2! If Wars/Warhead had co-op I'd switch us in a heart beat, but without that, whats the use?

it loads ok with Firefox. I don't understand issues with IE6, Maxthon and MYIE2
BTW: memory's use by Fifrefox is awful, that's why i nearly never use it. Ok, Firefox is fast. But it doesn't release the memory properly. That leads to an incredible memory's consumption after many pages loaded. Furthermore i've never been able to fix the tabs to a specific length/width with Firefox, so no daily use of Firefox for me because i absolutelyi need this option.


About the topic itself: it seems that fixes in the patch are incredibly few. Wha about the punkbuster's kick fix ? ????

I agree with BMW335i about the image behind the text on mycrysis. It like breaking the golden rule of design. Text alway should be clear and readable. ALways.

I get annoyed real quick when I go there And I hate going there pretty much for that reason and cause I feel we are being forced to. The news should be posted on both sites IMO.

I have yet to by warhead as it was not in the stores when I was looking and I refuse to use creditcards Of Any Kind. So I got Quake4 after a week of going back to the stare and it was not there, Then I heard the editor was not in it so I have not really been motivated to go out and buy it till the editor arives on the sceene - My choice, Any way my birthday is on friday I Im getting a game and it will probably be Farcry2 as there is no editor yet. If Farcry2 in not in and warhead is ther - Ill get it.

Any way getting Q4 along with recently Playing fear and doom3 inspired some new mapping so maybe it was for the best warhead was not in and did not have the editor yet. Who Knows

Again I hate mycrysis compared to here and esspecially hate feeling forced to go there.

I'm not happy until I get the SDK and the editor, so please just get it done! But for the love of god, use more time if needed !
