Was trying to recreate this wallpaper, I think I got pretty close. Edit: hmm the moon looked lower to me in the editor, now it looks a bit too high

Pink & Purple sky remind me a Farcry's skybox. Nice coler.

Not bad EliteGhost, Ive put togheter a comparision image about the major differences that might help: and there some minor differences in the composition also, like the angle the shot was taken form, the clouds, stars, and the rocks. Of course everything depends how close you want to get to the ref pic.

Quote by ODemuth: Wonderful motive, but the ugly water destroys the moment. :S Maybe you should add some dark clouds, would make it more on-the-sea-like, but the only thing that really buggers me, is the water... It's too still for the ocean, and the texture should be adjusted for a near view scene.

Thanks for the comparison shot, and about the picture I was try to match the sky and colors, and everything else was just based on it. I also noticed the really reflective sand, and I will definitely try a environment map like you said. Also about the orange part of the sky, I was trying to create that but for some reason the top fog didn't want to cooperate. So I just ended up using the horizon for the pink color and bottom fog for the blue. But I will try again!

I need some help ... the lighting on the tree trunk is just messed up , looks like the light is reflecting from the sand , but too much ...and a tad greenish.... i've checked the ambient ground multiplier and the color is not even on green and if i dim it ,the shot just gets horrible... suggestions?
Edit: btw does anyone know how to save the modifications on a material? i've made some in the ocean material , but everytime i run cryengine 3 again it goes back to normal.

Quote by kabrita: Apparently you've got it, dude . Very nice color composition . And the lighting, although maybe still looking a bit intense, seems to look very nice as well . Would like to see more of this . Especially some close-ups of the ocean and maybe even some underwater pictures .

Quote by USSR_GRAND: That looks awesome! The only thing I would change is the water, it looks too dark almost black. Also the head bobbing is a little too much, but I still think it looks really cool

Seems to me like you've set the GI multiplier too high in the ToD editor. For the material. I think it's because it's set to read-only, or because it's inside a pak file. If there's a "lock" icon next to the material name in the material editor, then that proves it.
