Wow, you've gotten up there in the ranks haven't you Zappy? That little bot thing is awesome dude. You've got quite a handle on your imagination, as well as the Engine. Very well done man, very well done.

I keep seeing autopilot on/off in that first robot vidoe. What exactly is the use of the autopilot?. Is it needed to let it follow the player?

Actually my intent is to make him completely autonomous so he will always be on "auto pilot" But in the parts where you hear a thruster sound, that is me driving him by keyboard. The autopilot where he flies around the room is completely automatic with no input required from the player. But yes, when he is following the player he is basically on auto pilot.

That looks awesome Zap! But when I read the thread title I was expecting the underground city from The Matrix. Your robot makes me think of the battle near the end of the third movie.... Make one of those mechs and rearrange your BuzzBot to have tentacles, and we can reenact it!!

I have been working on the terrain for the map. Here is another screenshot. This is still rough without vegetation. The river and road are just placeholders for now. Large imageHere is some perspective for you on scale, this map is 8km x 8km. While Castaway was 2km x 2km. However Castaway didn't have roads and vehicles to get around. Despite the map size only the inner 4km is used. The outer edges have very little detail and are smoothed to the maximum amount so they don't add to the triangle count. Large image
