you can run other versions of Crosswalk just make sure you also have Crosswalk 2.5 installed, or if you already have it, don't uninstall it.

When i try to prepare the model for exporting I have to convert the materials one by one and the exporter always links to the specular image instead of the Diffuse so i have go through each material and relink the the material to the diffuse texture. Once i export to Sandbox 2 and try to bring in the model, none of the textures work at all, they just show up as black versions of the texture.
Please help

Hi! Could you post a screenshot of your material library?
To convert materials properly select them in the explorer.Press 8 to open it up,pres M to find the materials, select them and in cry toolbar press convert selected materials.

I convert the materials exactly as you describe and they still don't work. They are black when I bring them into the sandbox editor.

Ok. That's normal.All you have to do now is change the diffuse color in the editor(sandbox) If you want your model to have texture, apply one in the mod tool. Be sure to use .dds or .tiff files because sandbox uses those formats.

I have the red tab error down below whenever I install and try to use cryexporter with any version of the SDK stuff and RC folder. This is depressing. I was really hoping to be able to make my own characters and models for the game. I have an entire game design planned out.. the AI planned and everything and I am stuck at not even being able to make models for the game. Help please!

Where do I put this file? Plus, what's the Bin32 file for? I am a noob to windows.
How do you activate an addon in softimage??
