Why wouldn't they need an good TOD artist to the team? Isn't the TOD what stands for the majority of the looks of the game? A good TOD versus a bad TOD can make quite some serious difference. If you can't see that, you're blind... Why do you have disbelieve in yourself? You know HP? Helder pinto? Who won the Intel crytek mapping contest a while back? He made that Vulcano island map. Now he's in the Crytek mapping team making levels for upcoming titles from Crytek. He was like nobody before, but with great mapping skills. Crytek hired him. Why wouldn't a TOD artist be a part of the level design team? if this contributed to the games looks and graphics?

who knows they might already have hired someone good at ToD's alraedy  :easter: anyway good news for those of you who want to see my ToD's in maps. i've just ordered a new GFX card !!! and i've started to make a start on a new level before it arrives sometime next week. will be going with my desert survival idea first

You don't have to be able to see the horizon, but I can barely see the difference between ground and sky now. your not meant to see the difference between the sky and ground so if you move away from the plane too far its difficult to find your way back making you have to decide whether to go and look for water or stay at the plane and wait to die of dehydration  or clever people could pick up objects and carry them some distance then drop them to create a path  or use the planes signal flares and go searching at dusk or in the morning where the light is going to be lower :rolleyes:
