Post Topic: MP5SD - Weapon Release, Page 3! Posted 22.07.2009, 13:14 |
A work in progress MP5SD weapon, which was modelled by DarkDali, textured by BuLL, and has been rigged/animated by myself. It's currently ingame (as seen in the below screenshots) with a few animations completed, and I'll continue to work upon further animations for it. The material also needs some tweaking still. I believe it will be scheduled for a community release, once completed. EDIT: A video demonstrating the weapon can be found in this post. EDIT 2: The weapon has been released, and can be found for download here, or here!

Not going to set a date, but hopefully shouldn't be too long. Probably will take quite a bit of fiddling with the animations before I find everything satisfactory.

Hi all,
glad that you like it.
Again a big thanks to Bull and Callofduty511.
Btw. Are you interested in Killzone 2 Weapon Models or in a Scorpion?
Cause I already made one or basically I am almost done with the LP MEsh, so I gonna start soon with the HP Mesh to bake a nice Normal and AO Map after unwrapping the LP.
So I am considerung redoing almost all weapons of Killzone 2.
So, let me know if the community is interested in that...
Best Regards.
Dali

How'd you get darkdali to calm down? Last time I talked to him he basically wanted to nuke crymod.. nice models, but to be honest, it kinda looks like a shotgun (but maybe thats just because of the pump looking front grip). I also think you rigged it too close to the camera.. the hands and such look like they are swollen but thats an easy fix.. ^just some constructive criticism. EDIT: no after a second look, the hands look fine, I just think you should scale the gun down a little.. it looks a little too big compared to the hands. EDIT2: also looks like your shells are ejecting the wrong way around..

Yep, they are, WIP for a reason Quote: Originally posted by Olli.nice models, but to be honest, it kinda looks like a shotgun (but maybe thats just because of the pump looking front grip). Currently I'm satisfied with the position of the gun, quite possible that the gun is a bit too big though, I'm not entirely sure it's worth resizing however as it generally looks fine as it is, and if I resize it, I wouldn't be resizing it much at all.

You have to remember that when you move the gun moves back and forwards to, so the screenshot may be just unlucky positioning.

So many people like that gun, but I hate it o.O Anyime I'm holding that in-game I feel like I'm holding a tube instead of a gun. But that's just me, I prefer the M16 variant weapons The gun does look great tho
