Post Topic: Anamorphic Dreams' machinima work | "This Bitter Earth" musi Posted 16.06.2009, 22:43 |
UPDATE 31.08.2010 Here is a short WIP scene from my upcoming This Bitter Earth music video. I really wanted to bring home a sense of sorrow and loss in this scene. Some scenes play out for too long though. This will be rectified in the final cut.
The vocals are from Dinah Washington's This Bitter Earth with the orchestral piece On the Nature of Daylight by Max Richter in the background. It was played during the end credits of the movie Shutter Island.
Don't get too depressed now!

UPDATE 20.08.2010 New WIP screens from the upcoming Venator machinima released! Credits goes to the_grim (spruce trees), FarCryer (skybox) and Xzero (shaders).

If you don't mind, can you also please add subtitles as an option because there are a lot of deaf pc gamers, including me out there. I would love to watch this video at once its released, only if it includes subtitles.
Thanks!
Chaoic out...

Yeah that would be a really nice thing to include. Also, Teddy, how far is your progress? You've not shown any pictures or anything

Hello Chaoic16 and Rayo55. Thanks for commenting. I'll gladly include subtitles in my trailers. I just need to figure out how. But the first one I'm working on (a teaser codenamed "Venator") does not have any dialogue. I hope to get it ready before the competition dead-line. And also, pics from this teaser will be uploaded sometime next week - along with a teaser poster as well. Stay tuned

Here are two WIP screens from my first in a series of Crysis: The Movie trailers. I've given it the codename "Venator". It will take the form of a teaser, showing a full scene that will actually not be in the motion picture itself (like the Tron: Legacy teaser). I tried to make the atmosphere dark and foreboding while also conveying a slight surreal feeling. Much of that will be evident in the cinematography and music though. I've yet to decide if I'll be adding rain or not. A billboard teaser poster will be added this weekend. Enjoy and please comment.

Nope, rain in Tron Legacy? ... (imoh) .. surreal fits in
Kind'a grainy shots , unrelated to Crysis gameplay. Atmospheric anyway

Kind'a grainy shots , unrelated to Crysis gameplay. Atmospheric anyway  I don't get the first line you've written. I never said there was rain in the Tron: Legacy teaser. I mentioned it because it's a perfect example of a teaser, showing a scene not featured in the film itself. As for the grain, that's on purpose. I think it gives the scene a more threatening and sombre feeling. And regarding "unrelated to Crysis gameplay" - the story in the fictional movie is based loosely on the Crysis single player campaign. There will be jungle scenes too, but I also want to expand the story to other parts of the globe - especially when the aliens attack. And the aliens in my storyline emerges from the ocean, not a mountain.

Ahh ... as your referred to Tron Legacy i got kicked  with Tron and, Matrix which was somewhat overdone with rain at the end.
Grainy look is obviously meant to look like it is in your screens, and i just think is there some retro thing present in the media scene currently?
