Post Topic: Konoha Village [Naruto] Posted 20.11.2009, 02:55 |
Hi there, I'm working at Konoha Village from the anime "Naruto" (first season). I had big trouble with textures save on solids, but now everything is repaired. I would like to present a few pictures, with map. Emphasize that the map is not finished, and a lot of her missing to complete. I am pleased to set to any suggestions and proposals about the map. White solid, at that time responsible for the heads on a rock. That will change in its time. Currently,I doing the map Konoha for themselves, as environment map, but when I finish it, I'll do the multiplayer version. I do not know whether IA or PS.

So far it looks pretty good. One crit I might have is that if your gonna do the whole city, you better start learning a 3D studio software since solids in big quanitities tend to up the drawcalls by a rather huge amount, which equals lag

Well I'd sugest you look up some tutorials, it's a real benefit to have this skill if you wish to make such a large custom map Solids might not cut it all the way

Awesome. You could try XSI mod tool. My personal prefrence is 3DS MAX but I know alot of people find XSI alittle easier to get into and it will make it alot easier on you in the longterm. You will be supprised how easy Konoha-esque buildings are with a 3D modeling app.
The only critisism I have on your structures is the gate, its a bit off. Konohas main gate is enormous in size, at a guess I would put it at 16-20metres tall and the wall is even taller.
