The bots head needs to be farther forward, the cheytac's receiver needs to be improved and the pistols grip needs to be rounded besides that looks good.

N88tr, your latest models look very square. Work a bit more on chamfering, or add more edges to make things more rounded.

Thanks guys for the support. The CheyTac is not done, it still has a ways to go. On another forum I am working on a video tutorial series on modeling. I did a dry run [no record] with two models. At least now I am confident in my ability to talk and model at the same time, lol. I made a Mac10 in one of the dry runs, Working on learning to texture at the moment, and some college final projects.

The mac10 is probably your best model yet. Great to see you advancing but the hand guard (I think) needs to be smooth, not so square.

Ok I'll smooth it out a little. Hardly noticeable but fine. I have another concept gun I'm working on. Probably just a portfolio piece but who knows. It comes from a ref from deviantart and the model has already been made by someone else, I'm just borrowing the ref image and making my own interpretation of the model. Some early pics, I have to do the bolt and cocking lever, scope, barrel, flash hider, fix rails, etc.

Looks nice but the grip needs to be smoothed and the top rail is tool wide. See below. They are pretty narrow. What I have noticed with your models is that they seem to have not been smoother in the areas it needs to be, is the a smooth modifier in 3DS max like in xsi? If so I would recommend using it.

I said in my post of the model I need to fix the rails. So why are you suggesting images to me when I already said I need to fix them?? You're confusing me.
And I use Maya to model, not Max. It's not smoothed really, it's just a preview smoothing. I'll do the real smoothing when it's all done with details and stuff.

I just wanted to shout out that I've taken on a new game engine: TES IV Oblivion. I started just now to work on a concept bow.... unique thing. lol I model for Fallout3, Jedi Knight Outcast, Crysis, and now Oblivion. I love taking on new challenges. Images of that once I get it basically done.
After the bow I want to think about what else I want to do. Once I get a few models in my portfolio I will start making model resource releases.

I see a lack of activity here for requests so I am working more on other sites like F00K Unity, Fallout3Mod, Bethsoft, etc.
I got spammed with a lot of requests so I am busy with those. Thanks for sticking around guys. I'll come back when I have something I'm dying to show. Haha

I recently had nasty virus/trojan attack and had to back up my safe data [music, models, etc] and re-install XP along with drivers, etc. I'm playing catch up at the moment but will be back in the saddle soon.

Holy crap but it took me the better part of 4 weeks to get my laptop back up and running with my programs and modeling software. Got a running start on a new model, a SPAS-12 combat shotgun. I have to do the stock ring, high poly barrels and then some ejection port details. Have a look. http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/1765/spas122.jpghttp://img31.imageshack.us/img31/7336/spas121.jpghttp://img704.imageshack.us/img704/8044/spas123.jpgBTW, the website is a mess! A royal freaking mess.... once I set up my FTP software again I'll update it.... I have like a dozen plus new free download models.... Gonna try to wrap up all models and start a new slate for 2010. Tues/Thurs are when I have free time from classes so that's when I'll be modeling/exporting/web design, etc. Oh and I ordered some new designing software, Illustrator CS3... my fav drawing program. This will help me a ton with web design and my freelance graphic assignments/requests. Life is good so far!! <3
