well in terms of the shape and layout i'd say it looks pretty good but I would definately lower the peaks on those mountains. Also if you use the terrain modify tool as a rise/lower circle with the amount set to about -2 and a very low hardness level you can shape the sides of the mountain range with the sort of natural carved look that occurs from centuries of water flowing down the slope. Keep experimenting with different movements to see what gives the best result. also try not to have anything get too steep on the slopes as in nature you rarely see angles over 45 degrees on hill sides or mountains. other than that it looks like a good start, keep it up and remember to look at refernce pics of what your aiming for it to look like when you get stuck anywhere.

When you have updates so close to each other you should edit your first post rather than double posting .

Here is a new test I made on texturing cliffs and 3d textures in crysis .... I have made two texture types one for very far mountain cliffs and one for more close cliffs , the central little island here is with the second type while the mountain in the background with the first ..... what do you think ? I have mismatched the two textures on the top of this small bay island also , I used some painting for darker areas etc..... I am not sure of the result so I ask you experts .... I was wonderring that may be I shoudl add rocks on all around the small island to put a further distance between the people and the texture .... Id say that I 'd call those like texture level 1 , 2 and 3 , with the first beeing the more far and the closer beeing the modeled rocks that will be in prominence view tothe players.... Opinions cryticism ? I am not at all a pro and this is my first time so be gentle ..... I would like it to look extremely realistic possibly so this is my exercise goal ..... and for that I would like all cryticism ....

Place Rocks on the beach area, tick the random rotation box for the vegetation sets you've placed. Use a variety of vegetation rather than the palm tree's. Although they're stunning, using the same vegetation object throughout the map doesn't reach any realistic goal.
I like your terrain skills though, I lack making the greatest terrain via SB2, but yours is good, realistic.
Nice work though.
Hmm, where did my signature go...?

Please wait in between bumps . @Crits, the textures could be blended together a bit more. Also the beaches are too clean, there needs to be dirt and animals and whatnot. Take a look at the stock Crysis levels, they do a great job with it.
