Post Topic: Best mod for Crysis Warhead
PostPosted 01.04.2011, 22:58
Hello everyone. as the title I'm looking for the best mod to apply to Crysis Warhead.
Let me explain better. I bought Crysis 2 but I prefer to wait and play when it comes out the DX11 patch so I thought I'd play again but this time with Crysis Warhead heavily modded to make something incredible graphics and physics.

So I'm looking for mods that will allow me to make the game more realistic and dramatically improve:
- Graphics
- physical
- AI

What mod do I need?

for physics, try Xigmatek's particle chaos mod.

Xigmatek's Particle Mods = FX Download Now + Cybran Nuke 2

His particles are uber fantastics. Every explosion is 10x more epic thanks to bigger blast diameter, larger pressure physics and far more beautiful physicalized particles bouncing around :P

For AI well, try Assassin's or Doomlord52's AI tweaks. I usually get them through the CCC CUDAATS config.

[Release] C.U.D.A.A.T.S. Custom Config

(note: there is a CCC CUDAATS config for warhead which is version 3.0 or something. Version 2.21 is for original Crysis.)

The AI tweaks are insanely good.

There is no announced DX11 patch for the reason: current video cards can't play DX11 at normal speed. Just give it a try. Crysis 2's poly count is about 500000. With tassellation you will get about 50000000, which causes 0.0000000000001 FPS. My GTX460 shown a normal 1000 poly model at 60 FPS, that is normal. On tassellation, the same model (only one model) caused less than 10 FPS.

maybe this is the case for crysis 2 but not for all games. For example, I've played and dirt 2 and f1 2010 both in DX11 without any kind of problem with all settings at maximum.

DX11 is not only about tesselation. Its lighting, shadows, workflow. Tesselation is just a hyped feature of DX11, although cleverly used can make LOD popping disappear by dynamically switch between models. :)

Have a nice day! :)

I think we've run into a dilemma by closing the Crytek Games section.

I will summarize the questions that I have to make:

1) I downloaded "Chaos Particle Physics Xtreme Crysis Mod v.7.0" but I do not know how to install it. Where I put the file "System.cfg" and "zz_XtremeChaosV7.pak"?

2) I downloaded "C.U.D.A.A.T.S v.3.00". I activated the Assassins's AI tweak and now the enemies are a lot more accurate. These are my current settings ( http://www.iouppo.com/life/z3/a8c4bb467a7a166a921b6c95b3ec23ba.JPG ) but I noticed that some textures are white. How can I fix it?

3) I downloaded "Warhead Textureupdate" and files .pak I put them in the "Game" without renaming. Right? However, I tried the game and now the textures actually look more defined.

I put the file "zz_XtremeChaosV7.pak" in the "Game" but the file "System.cfg" I have not made. Was I right? If not, how should be installed this mod?

Besides the problem of texture white still occurs very few times I noticed something.
My impression is that the textures are not quite at the highest level and so I thought I set directly from the game menu, the "Enthusiast" but I fear that doing so would override the settings made CUDAATS. Am I right?

I am still waiting to know if I did well installation. :cheesy:
