Oh nice, your trees will work in the SB3, great news ! and still good work, i really like them =)

Hi everyone! It's time for a relatively big update... ;)

I have recently reworked the textures and the normal maps of the spruces and the pines, and while I'm at it I thought I might as well throw in a few variations of a birch tree I'm working on. :) The birch is not final, all variations don't have touch bending or LODs, but I'm sure you'll be able to use them either way. The spruce trees have one LOD, touch bending, AI proxies and all that, but the pine trees are discontinued and still don't have LODs or anything special. They're there just for looks. :)

The birches also have an alternate texture, with sparser, fall coloured canopy:

The normal maps are improved for both the spruce and the pine:

The download can be found HERE, so grab your copy, drop the PAK into your Game folder, and try out my improved trees! :) Not guaranteed to work on CE2. The trees are freely usable for any of your non-commercial projects. If you want to use the models for commercial projects, send me a PM. ;)

With opacity maps and everything ? :) They look extremely nice. Definately going to download these and give them a try. What texture sizes are you using?

You asked for it so... :) The grass needs a material applied manually (forgot to name the mtl in Max properly). I'm not happy with the texture and the grass needs to be made denser, but use it as you like until I manage to make an update...

Oh and I did improve the fern's normal map too. :)

Hey guys, chicken has informed me that some textures included with the latest update are only 512x512 resolution - I don't know what happened since I thought I'd saved them with full resolution. Seems that CryTIFF downsized the spruce textures, I probably forgot to set -2 quality... I re-saved the textures and updated the pack, grab your copy HERE. :)

Does it work with Ce2? :love: i didnt follow the thread lately :C

Might work just fine, but be advised that the textures are exported using the CE3 CryTIFF plugin so if they look wrong you might need to re-export them. Not sure whether the models load in CE2 either, though, since they're exported using the CE3 exporter. :)

Spruces and pines seems to load in CE2, spruces with touch bending. Birches don't load...

Tested with the latest package.

Can i play with it on map Hunter's_Life or single player???
it's simply new texture that replaces old trees texture?
And thank you @the_grim for download becouse it is soo hemorrhoid to find working links for crysis 1 mods ;)

No it's not just a texture, the trees are completely new models. You can't use the trees on existing maps that don't have them (unless you edit the map in Sandbox and replace the tree models yourself). :)

what about SP(campaign)?
