Post Topic: Complex Four-Wheeled Vehicle Posted 24.12.2011, 02:58 |
I was very disappointed with the example vehicle that the sdk came with as it lacked many features that the ce2 one had. I'm in the progress in making my own example vehicle that I will release with all the feature of the ce2 one plus more. Planned features:-Animated steering wheel -Proper lights -parts that fall off -speedometer/tachometer -dynamic suspensionI'm testing a suspension rig right now and this isn't the final model

I really do hope this tutorial gets finished soon. Im desperate to import my car buggy model into CE3, dynamic suspension is currently the most important thing for me a working steering wheel would be nice too.

You plan on doing stuff for other vehicletypes (VTOL-like stuff, etc), or just 4-wheeled?

It's nearing completion as i have exported it into the engine. I'll finish the xml for it and release it after with all source files. sceluk, I'm pretty busy right now and I would love to do it for other vehicles but I simply don't have the time for it. angjminer If you need my to include an obj or some other file type compatible with blender I will do so though this might effect the way the bones are setup for the suspension.

Any update on how you if at all you got the suspension working. Been trying for ages to make a pseudo shock absorber but none of my ideas seem to work...im hoping you have had better luck.

Sorry but I lost the file unfortunately. Since people are mainly asking for the suspension demo I'll try and get a simplified version of the original model made and working.

You know?? The assets pack that comes with the SDK comes with a Humve and a tank with a side order of heli chopper? Ya? Even still you can look at the crysis to vehicles to see how the did it that is usually the best way to figure these things out

The sdk pack doesn't come with any of the features of was planning to add and not everybody has crysis. Also I noticed that the xml's in crysis and the sdk are somewhat different in terms of organization. Still my motivation for releasing this was greatly reduced when I couldn't find the file so i'm not sure what will happen to this project.

Today I decided to get this done and it's almost ready for release I'm just having some problems getting the suspension to export properly as a .chr file . It will be probably released tomorrow. I'm also making a new high quality vehicle as a "test-bed" for all features I plan to implement in this project. Here it is the Lada 4x4
