 Post Topic: DeLorean Time Machine v1.1
PostPosted 06.02.2012, 11:25
Hello everyone!

Last year I was quite busy but now, finally, after two years, I started to work on DeLorean :) But first, please note that no flying DeLorean in this release. That will be the next step (v2.0).

Right now I'm working on model and materials. After that I will convert flowgraph to Crysis 2 SDK. By the way, no vehicle editor in Crysis 2 SDK, first WTF moment :stare:

Here is the road map for DeLorean Time Machine. Of cource these can be changed during development. Release date is when it's done, of cource.

Lastly you can follow me on Twitter for updates: @Tirido

-------------------------------------------
DeLorean Time Machine v1.1
-------------------------------------------

* Convertion model, effects and flowgraph to Crysis 2 SDK.
* DX11 features (real-time reflections, tessellation on some parts)
* Original sounds
* Entering exact time of day from keyboard to travel that time
* Random weather changes during time jumps (fog, rain, snow, clouds etc.)
* To prevent DeLorean get damage after automatic return,
- big physical shock waves before return
- an invisable shield that runs until the car stops (it can be visible during hit)
* New camera angles

-------------------------------------------
DeLorean Time Machine v2.0
-------------------------------------------

* Adding Mr.Fusion to the model
* Flying DeLorean (Vehicle will switch between flying and driving modes via pressing a button)
* Remote control for DeLorean
* Rideable hoverboard
* BTTF model showroom (movies' key stuffs like plutonium box, biff's walking stick etc)
* Stand alone release with CE3 SDK.

Here are first screenshots:

Thanks guys.

@Black_Stride:
It's not ready yet. These are my plans about the project. Of course when it's ready, i will share it with community.

Now I can drive the DeLorean in Crysis 2 Editor and I'm going to convert the old flowgraph (v1.0) to Crysis 2 SDK and begin to develop it.

Thank you very much guys!

I converted the old flowgraph to Crysis 2 SDK. It works but there are some problems. So first step is make it work just like v1.0 then improve it. My team member asyncore who is old friend of mine, is working on it.

Thanks for recruiting me , Tirido. It has always been a pleasure working with you.
To show my excitement about our plans, I would like to quote Dr. Emmett L. Brown: "If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you're gonna see some serious sh*t."

Little update about roadmap: Since CE3 SDK gets updates we decided to continue development with CE3 SDK. Maybe after we finish we may convert it to Crysis 2 SDK.

Also we decided to write flowgraph from zero. You know, changing something sometimes harder than making a new one :).

Hey Tirido.
Nice to hear you are back again :))
I thought you were busy with our new job. Also there was not that much new stuff on your portfolio.
I really enjoy to read that you will work on the next generation of Delorean and I am very curious what we will see at the end.

Hey and if you need a higher resolution image of this:

I have the original render here somewhere in ~ 4600x2300.

Hey,

cool stuff !

Crydev member "oopzloop", made a nifty lil flowgraph that enables any object to be flyable. May be of use to you, maybe not.
