just want to add my applause for this work - awesome! I very much doubt you'll have any trouble finding an internship for the summer 5 weeks for this is also highly impressive. Can I ask - how much, if any, help/support/teaching did you recieve for this through uni or is everything completely self learnt (making all the trees, grass, rocks etc..)? I only ask because I am doing a similar course to this at a different uni

I only ask because I am doing a similar course to this at a different uni I am generally self taught; not a slight to my university, it's just that they teach a mixed bag of subject areas, so a great deal of it isn't relevant or focused enough in my opinion. So I kinda just made the decision to learn everything I could about environment art independently of the university course structure. But yeah, I would not call my university responsible for teaching me how to do anything you see in my work. Again, not a slight on them, but facts are facts, I'm pretty much self taught. @ultranew_b, thats a real nice looking level man! I would like to release this at some point, but it will require some more work to adjust it into something playable which I don't have just at the moment due to pressing deadlines in education and job searching for the summer.

yeah I kinda figured it might be self taught. Wasn't trying to get you to dis your course or anything, just genuinely interested coz if this is what everyone at your uni is producing in year 2 then wow! I'm guessing you're a fair bit ahead of your peers though Anyway for what its worth I think you're on the right track. Portfolio is king in this industry and what you have in there so far is extremely impressive

Hey we can see by your work that Cryengine 3 is way better than bethesda's engine used for Skyrim. Their mountains and water arent looking so good than these of yours.
